In the days before the Knights had their meeting with King Arthur, Science Officer Kingpole had gone to visit Sir Merlin in his laboratory. He tried to do this on each world and time, that he visited.
He was quiet impressed with the reflective metal that Sir Merlin had made, that had thwarted the spammers Ctrl Alt Delete function.
He told Sir Merlin that he had in his pocket a scrap of paper that had a formula, that made a substance that if applied to the inside of his Knights armor and shields, would stop any arrow from penetrating.
He said that by Federation directive he couldn't give him the formula, but if it accidently were to fall out of his pocket without his knowing....
