Uh...Science Officer Kingpole, Chung is not the navagator of this craft. He is the BAD guy in this story. You have not been breathing enough life sustaining oxygen. I like your thinking about the ship though. It made Sir Studs pecker bigger when he was around Doctor Sweety.
And, yes, Sir Remek, the story will get better. Takes awhile to do the set-up.
