Sir JonPop saw that Sir Stillwantmore had his hand in the air and said, "Sir SWM, you have a question for the King?" He stood and said, "Yes, if I may." Sir JonPop looked at King Robert and he nodded his head.
Sir SWM said, "Your highness, during the battle at the landing site, my horse was shot in the flank with a steel tipped arrow. He shuddered and while I watched, the arrow worked it'self out and the wound closed.
How is this possible?"
King Robert again stood and said, "These "Horses" that you will use here, in your fight against the outlaw Chung, have been developed over thousands of years. The modern version that can heal themselves were altered by our Alchemist, timesbechangin. No one, not even Chung has this formula.
Sir Remek stood and said, "This means that these mounts can't be killed?" King Robert replied, "No, they can be killed if they are severely wounded, such as a lance or a spiked, Mace to the head."
"Now, you must tell me, how your armor and shields resist penetration by those same steel tipped arrows."
Sir JonPop said, "We don't know exactly King Robert, our great magician Sir Merlin devised a liquid, that when applied to the inside of our armor and shields will stop an arrow from penetrating more than a few millimeters. We do not have knowledge of how this was made, nor extra liquid to protect the men from Nib, that we will train."
King Robert sighed and said, "That is a shame, it would have been such an advantage. You will have to prepare these young men well, Sir Knights and I fear we are running out of time."
