Yea, i wouldn't really stop. I mean i hope it wont but there is a chance that you and your girlfriend will break up eventually anyways. Doing length exercises aides girth gains as well and girth exercises. I like to think of it as stretching before you run, you know, so you don't pull anything. (no pun intended). I would go full force with the length until I get to about 9 in or slow, and then slow it down to just maintain it.
