About the Kegels: You can overtrain in all PE. Whether it be with jelqs, Kegels, or even stretches--overtraining can occur. You'll notice overtraining with Kegels when your erections are weak and you ejaculate quicker than normal. As a side note: Both of these go away once your penis gets enough rest
About the jelqing: SG Boy gave a lot of great suggestions. You can also try taking deep breaths, or stopping, letting your erection subside, doing a few jelqs, and then continuing. You can also try dry jelqing, which isn't as arousing.
