Luis: All of these questions, in one way or another, can be answered by watching your PIs closely - especially the last two. If you have healthy PIs, then you aren't using a bad routine and you aren't doing the exercises wrongly.

The first question, "how do you know if you're a hard gainer?", is a little harder to answer. It takes several months to know if you are a hard gainer or not, but this can also be answered by your PIs. For example:
  • If you PE for 4 to 6 months and have no gains and largely unhealthy (or negative) PIs, then you aren't a hard gainer per say; rather, you just have been exercising improperly. I find that several men who don't gain fall into this range.
  • If, however, you've been exercising for 4 to 6 months, have been experiencing ALL healthy PIs, have been increasing the intensity gradually, and still have no gains, then you might be a hard gainer.
  • Keyword: Might. Some men find that they don't gain anything for a long time, then all of sudden they gain an inch because they found out what works best for them.
