Travis, you're most welcome! I have to say after 6 months of PEing you are probably fairly conditioned and the "5 mild rotary stretches" are probably not going to be very effective. I would try to up that as suggested. I think you'll get much better results.
A cold compress is just a cold cloth/towel or ice pack. The idea is to cool the tissue in an extended state.
