...and then you felt discomfort/pain and let up before you hurt yourself. I agree with your concepts on weight lifting...although when it comes to increasing muscle size we're talking many very different concepts that are involved vs. stretching skin and tissues. A load/resistance applied over time will increase tissue length, that can be seen in the body piercing crowd, and in tribes where lips, and noses, and earlobes have been stretched ritualistically for centuries.
Just be careful. That's the bottom line point I'm trying to make.
