HACKED! -- But Fixed.

Somehow our lovely site was hacked over the weekend. I wasn't at my resident computer, so I couldn't fix it until today.

I believe the problem is now taken care of. If, by any chance, there happens to be a problem with the main site, then let me know! I don't want curious men to lose out on free information because of a hacker!

Also, in other news, we hit 100 members this weekend This is just awsome. Welcome all!

Get used to it being a free forum your taking money away from a lot of powerful people. You need to really make sure your secure. Back in the day when I was with the PEforum we were getting hacked all the time that's why thunder started thundersplace and he really has that place secure not that you can ever be totally protected

Thanks for the advice. I guess in my mind I figured my host (GoDaddy) would secure the site.

I now know that to be BS -- and a dream. I'm doing what I can to make sure it doesn't happen again. I went out and bought an anti-hack book (40 dollars for a book!!?!). Hopefully it teaches me a thing or two. I'm sure time will bring out even more hackers.

Can you be a little more specific as the nature of the hack? Often forums can get a little batty at times, are you sure it wasn't a bug of sorts?

No, funny enough, the Forum wasn't hacked. It was the main site. I talked to GoDaddy.com (my host) and they said there was a whole in my .php file. I guess that's the price I pay to learning as I go
