Default Doing squats and Kegels

Started to add squat exercises to my regime in the gym and I found that it seems to work the whole pc muscle area a great deal. Has anybody else felt this?

How are you doing them? I have to ask, because I've never felt squats 'work' my pc muscles.

Well I use the Olympic bar over my back and shoulders and breath in, go down, hold and go up, I'm sure it's the normal way, I'm not too much into weights I am a boxer. It was my first time I will try again tommarow. I felt the whole buttocks being worked, I was told it works the whole lower back and legs area so I would have thought those muscles around that area are included when I tense up.

If we're speaking of the same muscles worked when you kegel/stop urine flow....no, you should not be working, or tensing those when you squat.

No offense intended of course. I remember when I first started kegeling years ago. My rectal muscles got sore. Come to find out I was squeezing the wrong muscles.

None taken. I haven't mentioned that I studied internal arts I can tense my whole body just like Bruce Lee, so I normally do that when I lift weights. I lived in SE Asia for four years. I heard that their are a host of muscles in that area not just the pc muscle and all of these play a vital role and need to be conditioned.
