With gym work your body acts as a whole too. Even if you train different bodyparts you're still stressing the nervous system as well as muscles you don't intend on targeting- this is especially true with compound exercises like squats and deadlifts in which, if done intensely, are stressing just about every muscle in the body.

As I've gotten older and stronger I've learned to appreciate the value of rest and recuperation. Instead of seeing it as "off time", it's actually the most vital part of the growth phase.

I've become addicted and its hard enough to take even a day off. I was pondering a week off starting my 8th week and measuring day would follow that week off. what do you think guys? I'm not sore, not showing any bad PIs and seem to have a good schedule. Should I go for the week off or keep doing what I've been doing?

Yes, and log the results. That'll give you some insight into your tolerances and recovery abilities.
