From PE what part of the penis actually grows? does the "shaft" actually grow or is it just the ligaments stretching that make it look larger. In other words, will any gains be actually nbpel or just bpel because of the ligament that is on the top of your penis just sorta moving forward?

    Thanks.

I think it is the ''connective tissue'' in the penis which basically should grow in addition to enlargement of blood spaces (vacoules) which get engorged with blood causing erection. Naturally as penis will become longer and wider all other structures should grow with it such as skin, urethra, smooth muscles. I think the suspensory ligament should get elongated with regular strech. Ligaments are made of a stronger type of callagen fibers.

It appears to me that PE works in many different ways. Strengthening the smooth musclesin the penis and mainy pelvic floor muscles improving the circulation in the penis, through internal pressure on the vacuoles ( blood spaces) causing increase in their size, breaking the collagen fibres which are replaced more and longer collagen fibres because as many organs in the body adapt in accordance with the demand put on them and also elongation of the suspensory ligament which is actually part of the penis. In surgery the ligament is pulled down and out to elongate penis but the actual size of the ligament does not change. This ligament is the basic support of the penis mainly during erection. After surgery one is very likely to have poor erection with the head facing down rather than up. PE if done appropriately and gradually build up, will not onlydet elongate the ligament but make it stronger as well. zmxncbv what is your understanding of the mechanisms operating in PE?

Soody: Well said. You've been doing your PE research

I agree with your comment for the most part. The only exception is that I believe the smooth muscle plays the ultimate role in PE. Muscle, more than any other tissue, has the ability to enlarge and harden when exercised. The penis is coincidentally part muscle, and coincidentally enlarges and hardens due to PE (penile exercise, as I refer to it).

First of all, ligament gains can and often does translate into non-bone pressed gains simply by allowing the penis to reach futher out from the pelvis area.

I understand your way of thinking and I've asked myself this question many times.

There are more than one theory on the subject. I think one should separate ligaments gains from what you call shaft gains/growth (I believe this is usually refered to as tunica gains).

True, ligaments gains do not affect the actual penis size (shaft) but helps to reposition the penis so that it looks bigger (which is great btw).

Now, I believe the consesus is that the type of gains that enlarges the actual penis/shaft is caused by enlarging the main limiting tissue, namely the tunica, thus the name "tunica gains".

There are more than one theory about how tunica gains work as well. I personally think the "elasticity theory" (dont know if I'm allowed to link to the thread on thundersplace) is the most plausible one at the moment.

My understanding of the theory is that the elastic properties is lessened, through PE, to allow the tunica to fully expand to its true potential. This basically means the tunica doesnt get bigger BUT the effect is that more blood can enter the penis since the tunica can expand more. So the end result is that when erect you are bigger but you didnt technically "enlarge" anything. This also means that the tunica gains is ultimately finite and will be harder and harder to achieve.

Think of girth gains, for example, they are not caused by ligament gains surely?

Dicko: Sure, you're allowed to link outside places here. The forum is a place to learn, and sometimes outside links get the point across best

About the ligaments: I'm not sure if you know this, but in terms of ligament gains, every inch gained transfers into only roughly .25" NBPEL gains. The other .75" is bone pressed. The reason most ligament gains are only BPEL gains is that the pubic bone is slanted inwards.

Here's a thread about the elasticity theory on thundersplace,
Medical Verification - Thunder's Place Free Penis Enlargement Forums

I understand this concept, it has happened to me. Lower exit point + slanting pelvis = bigger (BPEL-NBPEL) measurement and so on. Maybe I should have used other words, english is not my first language. My point was that lig gains can definitely produce NBPEL gains, how much differs from person to person.

Regarding ligament gains check out this theory,
