What do you think is better with the passage of time: increasing exercise time, increasing intensity, or both? I think increasing intensity is more effective. It's somewhat like comparing quality vs. quantity. When you are in more advanced months (say 5th or 6th) is when you should consider upping the time a bit. But when you hit the 3rd, 4th month, you should increase the intensity of the exercises significantly (not to the point of ripping off your unit though). But I don't know... compared to some people here I'm barely starting out. What do you seasoned PErs think about this? Is it better to increase the intensity (quality) of your exercises, or is it better to increase the quantity? By how much (on either choice)? |

Well Smallus. in MY CASE i always had short routines, and on the 4th month i started to increase a litle my intensity . what did i get ?? - i noticed that my flacid started to get bigger all day long ( not cemented yet of course ) as well some red spots which might be the result of a good PE session. But ubfortunately i am in a deconcdtioning break at the moment and will restart next week. So what do i think is better ?? - both intensity and quantity .

Smallus: This is a great question. The answer will no doubt vary from man to man . . . but I find that in the beginning (for first month or two), it's probably best to mainly focusing on increasing the time. After that, increase the intensity by using a combination of:

me i use a very lite grip when jelqing and take as much as 30 seconds to do the jelq. Slow and easy to me does the trick.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | A real slow jelq, up to 30 seconds. The slower the better.

As Kingpole notes: When I started PE, I would just follow the formula. Days on / days off, number of reps, length of time, etc. There would be days when my EQ was crap. I found that my PE sessions seemed to be more effective when I really considered my PIs. Were my PIs good (good EQ, night wood, etc?). If so, I could take it up a notch. Poorer EQ, less night wood, take it easy. For me, maintaing good EQ is always my #1 priority. Everyone is different. PE is a journey of discovery.

Good post. It does indeed vary man to man. Not so much with the penis, but more so with daily life schedules. (My opinion) In the beginning, you need to take it easy, and go with the lighter intensity, and shorter routines. Your penis needs time to adapt to the new stresses involved with PE. After the first month or so, and the tissues have had time to adapt, you can add time, and some intensity. After a while though with some exercises, it does not seem to matter how much intensity is applied. There also comes a point where (like with hanging for example) only so much intensity can be applied before injury occurs. I have the most experience in my personal routines with hanging. In weeks where I would hang 5 days per week, and a total of 4 hours daily....that's 12, 20 minute sets usually....I had a set resistance range of 15-17.5lbs (that I'd worked up to over many months) where, as long as I stayed consistently hanging, I would continue to get great sessions where the tissues always felt like they were getting worked, and fatigued. The penis, over time has a tendency to become quite a tough little bastard, but always listen to your body. |

With jelqing, more intensity usually means higher erection levels, a tighter grip, and a slower jelq stroke to really focus on expanding the tissues. | |
