Default How long doeas a ligament strain take to heal?

After a 1/4 inch gain in the first 2 weeks(90 day beginners routine), I mess it up by adding extra jelqs and intensity which leads to the inevitable overtraining and also to make things worse, an injury. Research tells me the little pinlike pains at the base of my penis(mostly lefthand side) are due to a ligament strain which needs a lot of rest to recover from. When I felt this pain during my workout, added to loss of erection quality and sex drive, I decided to take a few days off. The pain continued during this period(not very painful but enough to notice it) so I continued my recuperation. A week has past now and I don't know when I should restart a very light routine. I think the main problem with my last routine was probably stretching too hard especially to the sides which I found was very tight even with a light stretch.
I guess the question would be, how long before I start again? Also is this a common injury? I can't say my sex drive has returned but I'm hoping that the PE will get that moving again(the first week was great) and my EQ is only average(the first week was great again). I always wake up with morning wood though.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

A ligament strain typically takes from 9 days to 2 weeks to clear up.
You need to do warm ups throughout the day with a hot, wet cloth.
Try and do this 3-4 times a day for 5-8 minutes. DO NOT do ANY stretching until you feel fully healed. Then start back very slow. Good Luck.
