  • The importance of proper measuring.

I've seen a lot of people screaming "look, gains!" and show pictures of their new "penis".
The sad thing is that the measurement is incorrect. For example the BPEL is taken from the side once and from the top on another picture.
The girth is sometimes measured at the glans and next time near the base. Sometimes there's even glitches when measuring girth.

I find myself that measuring the BPEL on 0.5" from the side differs from when you're measureing it in the middle of the width.
There are many ways to look bigger.
Anyway, you're doing PE for yourself and not for bragging about your gains. I don't understand the point of fooling yourself by measuring wrong.
I only see that you waste your time on a routine that maybe doesn't work.
PE is a long process, if you fool yourself with the measurement it's going to take a lot more time.
Measure BPEL always at the same place, do the same thing with girth.

Don't fool yourself, you're the only one losing your time.

There are a lot of great pictures with correct measurement here and on TP.
    Saiyan22 is one of them.

The most important thing is that your measure the same way every time. I'm not really comfortable with posting pictures though.

I am surprised to hear people measuring at a different point for girth. My girth at the bottom is already beyond my goal of 5", but I really want that 5"+ to be around the middle where it would matter.
    Started Dec 2009: BPEL 6.25 EG 4.50 BPFSL 7.0
    Top Feb 2010: BPEL 7.15 EG 4.50 BPFSL 7.45
Current Nov 2013: BPEL 7.0 EG 4.5 BPFSL 7.3 (I stopped in summer 2010, starting up again)

when i measure my length i never press against the pubic bone. i just rest the measure on the top/base of my penis to the tip of my penis. is that ok? ive always measured that way. would this be NBPEL ?

@Curlers, yep that would qualify as NBPEL

do you guys measure with your penis pointing out and/or slightly down -or- pointing up? i find i get slightly increased measurements the more i point it downward.

Yes. But pushing into the pubic bone is a far more accurate way to measure.

Yes that would be nbpel. Most of the vets suggest bpel(bone pressed). It is much more consistant. You can do both, but the bpel is more accurate for long term measurment comparisons.

ok thanks. i think i may do both to see how they compare. bone pressing seems like it would add a good inch or so?

I'm kinda fat and it adds about .5" to me. It's more about measuring accurately. In studies this is how they measure anyways. And the pic bananaboat posted is correct. At least that's how I measure every time.

The important thing is not how you measure but that you always measure the same way at the same place.

Yes... Well, I have begun to measure girth by taking the measurement three times (top, mid, just above base... don't want to get a lot of scrotum in there) and take the average. I generally take my measurements about 2 separate days. Not just because I'm seeing if I grow more on my second day of rest, but to make sure they are correct.

                        Hi all,

im going to start measuring just like banana does, to the side bone pressed for the erect length, my query for measuring flaccid length, do you measure it as you find it (even if there's slight turtling or do you do a few helicopter shakes in order to "shake it loose" then measure the flaccid length. be interesting to find out how all you guys measure it

                        cheers

how about when you measure it flaccid? do you "shake it loose" so you get a better hang or do you measure it as it is, even if its slightly turtled?
