I didn't notice a difference.

As far as natural treatment, there are certain things I can do. I have to wear ankle weights all day long. It sucks and I never wear them in the summer since I look dorky in shorts. I have to drink LOTS of water and increase my salt intake. I have to split all my meals up into 6 or 7 smaller meals. I haven't figured out or noticed a difference as far as what I eat during these meals. However, I try to only have 3 servings of whole grains per day. I do not have sugar, unless it's natural such as honey or fruit. I'm not supposed to drink alcohol, but I occasionally have MGD 64 since it's light in everything or I'll have a little wine. Other than that, I can't drink since my blood vessels would contract causing decreased blood flow. I'm always looking for natural ways to help and I'll never stop looking .

Edit:
Oh, and I should mention this. There is a POTS group on facebook that I joined. I didn't like asking this question, but I asked one of the guys there if he has erection problems with POTS. He does not. Everyone is different though... So I don't know if for sure my medical condition causes it.

Thanks!

Don 't take any kind of gensing for this, i was wrong on that one. Avoid caffeine. Im going to look up some natural beta blockers that perhaps don't cause ED.

POTS with its symptoms simular to chronic fatigue may benifit from ginkgo biloba, licorice, sodium, and gensing. It is however a shot in the dark. licroice seems to hold the most promise for this disease. You can buy licorice at any health food store. Im talking about the herb not the candy.

Hi Kingpole.

Thanks a lot for the information. You didn't have to spend time researching so I'm grateful you did! I've been to that site thousands of times. So much information...

Okay... I know I already need to avoid garlic (unfortunately)... Here's a paragraph about ginseng...
"Patients with POTS and/or neurally mediated hypotension should avoid garlic and nitrates in food, which lower blood pressure. Most patients also need to give up alcohol, coffee, tea, and adrenaline stimulating herbs like ginseng. Try to avoid eating heavy meals as overloading the stomach decreases orthostatic tolerance by drawing blood to the digestive tract and away from main arteries which feed the brain."
I should avoid it.

I read up on Licorice a bit... Licorice. Sounds interesting. Also, I've specifically told my doctor that I refuse to take salt tablets. I don't want to create problems in my stomach so I just increase salt on all of my foods. Too offset that, I drink TONS of water.

Thanks again...

Aaron

I was talking to Dr lin, he sent me an e-mail. He said beta blockers are not good for this problem that you actually should be taking arginnine. Probably Alpha Arginine ketoglutaragte. To increase the nox to your brain. Oxygen use seems to be a limiting factor in the brain of someone who has pots. Also Gensing increases 02 sufficientcy. To be honest i think the reason why they don't want you to try natural supplements like gensing is because it may block or react to the beta blocker. But if you want erections and wangt to walk around w/o passing out then maybe you might want to try it. However like i said it is a shot in the dark.

Here is the e-mail and the product he sells for various conditions:

Yes, beta blockers causes the arterial constriction and slow down the cardiovacular
output for deficiency of blood flow in the brain, joints, muscles, and testicles/penis.

Our products ViaPal-hGH-N (3-017) can help,
The Lin Institute: ViaPal-hGH-N (= ViaGrowth-IV/MoodMax/ArgiNOx)
He can gradually withdraw the beta blockers with ViaPal-hGh-N and Pinealtonin (2-002)
The Lin Institute:
Also he should walk 1 hour every day for force the blood flow to his toes and fingers
