I have been taking Chinese ginseng or I guess its called red ginseng for a few months now and it really helps with nerves, anxiety. I love it because of its help with anxiety, I was developing VERY bad anxiety. Anyway I noticed there is American ginseng and its edible. How does this compare to overseas ginseng in pill form? How much do you eat, what is the dosage? How does it taste too? Thanks for the help, appreciate it.

Theoretically , ginseng is a stimulant and shouldn't help anxiety at all. Glad it's helping though . I wouldn't mess with American ginseng if Chinese is helping.

Aren't a lot of remedies for anxiety actually stimulants? It seems counter-intuitive but I believe that is the case.

It tastes like dirty horseradish. You can ge it in pill form though (i wish i would have). Google the doses and im sure you will find sme good recommendations for whatever you are trying to achieve.

No, your thinking of ADD or ADHD, which your right is still counter intuitive, typical Generalized anxiety disorder or Panic disorder, I treat with an antidepressant and a Benzo( ie xanax, klonopin).

Are there any adverse effects with long term use?
