Default Don't RELY on porn for an erection!

Relying on porn regularly for an erection is NOT GOOD in my opinion. And I am speaking from experience. You are conditioning your body and your mind!! This may lead to E.D. if you overdo it, and could take years to reverse the effects. Soon you will not be as aroused around women, or by 'regular porn' or even nudity anymore. Use imagination/fantasy as a last resort, as you will soon bore of them too and need newer more exciting fantasies - primarily you should focus on the feeling!

The penis was meant to become aroused primarily by the subtle stimulation of its sensitive nerve network (the silky smooth softmoistness of the vagina is proof!). This can be explored and greatly enjoyed by slow, deliberate stimulation. Erections won't be a problem when you develop advanced awareness of your sensations, including the PONR. This requires quieting your mind, however - the thoughts/distractions may just replace your awareness of the ongoing internal pleasurable feelings and you lose your erection. Therefore, the medicine for everybody is: meditate on the sensations during edging/sex/masturbation/PE

As far as looking at it 'once in a while' or with a partner occasionally I think that is fine. But you are asking for trouble if you sit there through vid after vid...or using as a supplement to your PE routine. Some may beg to differ, and this is my own opinion for those who disagree.

This is interesting but I can definitely see how it can be factual. On a slightly different note today I was thinking about picking up some supplements like L'arginine and I was thinking about it in terms of how medication works and your body building up a tolerance. If you take this supplement won't your body produce less amino acids or this stuff takes in amino acids less effectively forcing you to take more of this stuff? I don't want to throw my body off balance but I definitely want to improve myself. I think that's a related thought process to the topic sorry if this steals your thread !

that can potentially happen, organic. If the body gets a LOT of one nutrient and then it is removed it may go out of whack.

Good post pe Zen. Yes, excessive amounts of porn can lead to ED. Your imagination is also more powerful than any other computer anyways.

To much porn can cause sensory overload and fry the dopamine system of the mind.

I agree, this post anticipated my own question regarding maintaining an erection whilst jelqing.I can now see where I have been going wrong. We tend to look for the instant fix in this materialist society, but often the best remedy to our problems comes from within and re-tuning our physical responses certainly makes more sense than endlessly bombarding ourselves with intense but rapidly exhausted stimuli.

I'm sure everyone can remember their first look at Playboy magazine, those first glances produced instant boners for me. Today Playboy is barely considered soft porn and the Internet has introduced porn to even younger audiences. This loss of innocence will impact society in many ways and the sad thing is there's no turning back. I agree with Zen, become one with your unit through your mind and not with porn.

It's like eating the fruit from the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. With all the pleasure of it, there is pain lurking beneath...

The most recent generation of people will probably wind up with ED by the time they hit the age of 25. I guess we might be really busy in the coming years here at the PEGYM.

I recognized myself that I rely waaaaay too much on porn to get hard. I'm going to start meditation and really try to get off of it completely. I can't emphasize the importance of this thread enough nice job Zen.
