Default Anyone in medical field?

So i got diagnosed with a chest wall contusion about a month and a half ago from a car accident, they said it'd go away in 6 - 8 weeks.. it didn't.. and the doc just said take ibuprofen and it should help with the pain.. well it still hurts when i lean back, and take deep breaths, but it doesn't hurt to laugh anymore, also when i move my neck parallel to where the pain is, my chest hurts (chest pain on left side, sternumish, when i move neck to right it'd hurt) also i spit alot more mucus and stuff, and when someone smokes my chest hurts.. anyone have any idea whats going on? i don't have much money for the doc, and im still waiting on the insurance company.. who says they are still arguing.. so i can't go to the hospital till i win.. or should i just get a lawyer?

Your bills should just stack up and be the insurances problem not yours. They have to cover you . Even if you have ongoing lifelong issues them fuckers will have to pay up. Sounds like you possibly have a weak lawyer. I f you have no lawyer at all , call the biggest firm you can . And tell them this and they will send a car to pick you up to sign with them. Good luck

Im afraid if you do to much ibuprofin that your lungs may fill up with water, due to the fact that ibuprofin can cause fluid retention.

What color is is mucus?

On a scale of 1-10 what is the pain level, 10 being the worse?

What is a chest contusion?

A person with a chest contusion has a bruise to the chest wall. The bruise may involve the skin, ribs, or muscles of the chest wall

What are the symptoms of a chest contusion?

Symptoms of a chest contusion include chest pain, bruising, chest wall tenderness, and swelling.

How does the doctor treat a chest contusion?

Treatment for a chest contusion includes rest, cold compresses, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications for pain. Deep breathing exercises may be recommended to lessen the risk for atelectasis and pneumonia.

You do need some anti-inflammatory pills. This will help with the swelling.

The treat is basically passive. The body is supposed to heal itself.

Make sure you take lots of Vitamin C (tissue regeneration) and lots of other vitamins also. Protein shake can help also.

Gabzor, and fellow readers, I do not want to sound like a broken record, however what I think is very important to say is that with any medical condition, you absolutely must try and action it ASAP. The proverb of an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure is so very true. Borrow the money to see a doctor if you can (i apologise I dont have any knowledge of how medical treatment works in your country), or see an experienced acupuncturist that can begin the healing process. He will assist with the more chronic part of any injury, and a doctor can prescribe drugs for the acute concerns and do a more precise diagnosis and see if you need surgery or whatever. Letting this go on Ibuprofen is a bullshit fucking response to anything, its a bandaid solution, it doesnt get to the root cause of the pain. The mucus shows that perhaps your lung function is compromised and unable to moderate fluids which is a primary function. Get onto it ASAP mate, dont fuck around with your health.
