We each have to find our own "balance". I'm sure many of us waste money on different supplements because we don't expend enough energy to fully activate them. This is another reason water is so important though, as it flushes all the extra unneeded items out of our body. A healthy liver and kidneys are everybit as important as a healthy heart.

Yes sir,

Gallon-o-water a day. Protein, fruits and/or veggies with every meal. And healthy fats. Eat all the slow digesting carbs in the morning and after a workout and you are pretty much good to go. The only supplements I take are Protein powder just because I can't sit and eat meals at work, and creatine...I don't respond to creatine at all, but I only take a teaspoon a day for heart benefits, as I suggest many of you guys do. Don't load the crap, don't drink it with a load of a sugar, just take a teaspoon a day. Supplements for PEing isn't big either, some cayanne and some ginko and macca, and there you have it. Everyone stay healthy!

You don't need supplements, eat whole natural foods with plenty of protein in each meal form meats, pork, poultry, fish, etc and you won't need any protein supplementation. But if you "feel" the need to waste money on supplements that magazines make you "feel" you need then by all means, give your money to the supplement companies.

Though I agree whole heartedly with a good well rounded diet, there are certain benefits we just can't get from a good diet alone. Many people are allergic to certain foods and some just can't palate the taste or texture of foods causing them to miss out on certain vitamins/minerals that they need, and then there are those with medical conditions in which their body doesn't properly produce or metabolize certain agents. This creates a viable need for supplementation.

Agree with PhibbysHammer. The "Fast Food" generation needs supplementation.

I cook and plan my meals...but you can only do so much when you work 50 hours a week and have school full time at night. Can't exactly sit and eat a well rounded meal at work, but protein shake w/ almonds and raisins is a good sneak in when your on the go. Point being everything has it's place and too much of anything can be a bad thing.

Must haves: Fish oil, Vitamin D, calcium if you don't get enough of it. be weary of multivits

A good creatine/BCAA combo for muscle recovery and health benefits.

Eat pussy, pussy is way more important than protien. Supplement your diet with a nice healthy camel toe.

You get protein powders that are loaded with amino's, protein and low carbs. I still eat healthy but they are a nice alternative to eating small meals throughout the day. It's easy to keep track of all the fat, carbs and protein. I workout so I drink them daily.
