| Protein
Hey everybody first post here.
I'm about to start a 3 month routine and see where i get. I also just started working out, nothing big just pushups and situps and some freeweights til i cant move. After working out i make a protein shake and was wondering if you think it would have any effect on my PE results (probably for the better if anything). just a stupid question. now im off to get some lube and a tape measure haha.

As long as your diet is well balanced and nutritious, extra supplementing with protein won't have any grand effect. Make sure you are drinking plenty of good H2O.

I just had to post and agree with you two. Not nearly enough people understand that in high protein diets, or even normal protein consumption required water. If you are on a high protein diet, your body will dehydrate itself trying to process it all without H20 to help regulate the distribution of nutrients.

When it comes to protein it's not just quantity but quality that needs to be considered as well, especially when it comes to protein powders. If it is not completly digestable and useable it does'nt matter how much you are forcing down your throat.
Many protein powders cause alot of diarreha and subsequent dehydration and or produce so much flatulence that one could float a hot air balloon. I used to know a bartender that drank on average 4-6 litres of milk per day and used protein powders. He was a disgusting fat body that farted at least 4 times per minute. Some farts would last at least 10 seconds. He did not hold back and would often lift his leg as he farted and thought he was quite the funny guy. He did'nt care where he was or what company he was with. He sure loved his milk and protein powder....fuckin' pig.

If all your doing is a bit of bodyweight exercises here and there then you probably dont even really need a protein powder to be honest, just eat good food and you'll get the enzymes/micronutrients that go along with it.
There is so much advertising about the need for protein in the diet from supplement companies but unless your really exercising hard then you should be able to obtain your daily protein requirements from food.
There is some debate as to the impact of a high protein diet on kidney function, with most studies being on people with pre-existing kidney ailments. Having said that, a satisfactory intake of GOOD QUALITY water is your best defence against any issues.
In answer to your question I cant envisage any huge impact either way as phallic said

Trust me, skipping on Proteinpowders is not good for you - why not take all usefull supplements there is?
Also making it routine taking 25-30g protein 5-6 different times at the day will help with motivation and you constantly training your body, even when you are at home your food and supplements will be the main reason that you are getting bigger.
I can name supplements that will aid with alots of stuff.
ALC - Acetyl-L-Carnitine
R-ALA / ALA
Omega-3
Zink,Magnesium MSM!!!!! blueberry antioxidants
apple polyphenols really strong antioxidant
Quadrol (cissus and Colenol)
I have a theory, that the body with more positive effective stuff in your body, it enhances everything, the zink enhances other stuff, the MSM enhances the zink effect in the body, if you always get what your body needs for different things would be better for recovery and your boner,
I also believe that its more about your head than studies...
Also bomb your body with all EAA and other aminoacids,, there is something called "Hemogex" search on it, it actually highers your Growth hormone levels when sleeping with 440% or something, studies have been made, It helped me with sleep when i tried it before jumping to real Growth Hormones, but its kinda expensive but if you are wealthy, try it out.

So why is skipping on protein powders not good for you? Its not as if protein powders are an essential ingredient or a whole food or anything. I bet no one that ever lived to 100 ever drank fuck all protein shakes.
I take 'em, but only because I weight lift, there is really no reason any healthy person "needs" additional protein that cant be obtained from their diet. Its only a nice to do.
If you are an athlete expending lots of calories, or someone whose diet lacks in protein, there may be a need, but otherwise, save your money, or do whatever, its no big deal either way I don't recon.
well you read what you want on the internet and use your head and I'll learn by finding articles and books that are backed up with supporting evidence such as studies. Unfortunately there is so much misinformation in the world and you've demonstrated it with your obsession for un-necessary suppliments that are unlikely to make any perceptible difference to your training. Just my opinion of course, and I wish you luck all the same
