    I know it's a strong statement, but read on. Like many of you, I learned about PE years before actually doing it, like it should be done- PE exercises with proper nutrition. I had tried it a few years back but had no success. I always believed the "experts" from sites like WebMD. But here's my story with energy drinks: I started drinking monsters about 10 years ago. I started drinking one a day and having regular meals. The drinks gave me tons of energy and always put me a good mood. The high a got (on an empty stomach) from these drinks was so good, I used to tell people monsters cured depression. I also noticed that my balls and penis would retract almost completely into my body, after drinking a monster. I did not give it much thought. I had sex with my girlfriend twice a week and it was great. I noticed I was losing weight, so I decided to replace two of my meals, breakfast and lunch, with my a low-carb monster and then eat as much as I wanted when I got off from work, around 4pm. I lost a lot of weight; I went from 210 lbs to 170. I did this for seven years and was able to keep my weight off, pigging out once a day.


    Now flash forward 7 years, I'm 30 and I broke off with my girlfriend. I continue my diet, but I'm starting to lose interest in sex. I decided to increase my exercise to see if that would help, I had been exercising since I started drinking my monsters. I had a bowflex machine and decided to add p90x to my routine. I got lean but still no interest in sex (still drinking monsters). I always have masturbated, but even that became a chore and soon I even stopped doing that. I could not keep and erection. I was seriously worried. I tried porn but nothing helped, I had ED. Then I met this girl at work, she was interested in me, I kind of did but I knew my problem. Anyhow I decided to give it a try. The first time we were together I could not get hard enough to penetrate her. You guys can imagine how that felt. So finally, I went to the doc. He did tests to see if I had low testosterone levels, but they were within normal range. He prescribed Viagra. I took the pill to see how it would work, the same day I got the prescription. I got a boner and masturbated, but I did not enjoy it. I noticed something, though, that changed my life. The following day, my balls and my penis were hanging all day. I only had that happen after a shower or after waking up. That night I had sex with the same girl and the feeling was amazing. Then it hit me and was able to put things together: something in my monster drink (caffeine) was retracting my genitals and Viagra relaxed them. All these years I had been shunting blood from my genitals. I had done PE, a few years back, but no success. Now I knew why it did not work; caffeine, or something in my monster drink. Not only that, but it made me temporarily impotent. I had heard before, from guys that work in construction and drink a lot of energy dringks, that energy drinks make you impotent, but now I knew first hand.

    The Present
    I discovered this forum, read about nutrition and the wonders of supplementation, especially green tea and raw ginger, thanks KingPole. The changes have been amazing. Within two days of stopping drinking my monsters, drinking my tea and ingesting my supplements, my genitals were more relaxed and I was horny as hell. There is so much blood going down there now, that I can't do PE without ejaculation, it's that strong. And the feeling is wonderful. I never made a sound when I ejaculated, but now I can hold it in, if feels that good, so thanks to you guys. And yes, I am growing, but I don't care so much about that as the fact that I have my sexual health back. I am doing weights again and it's incredible the amount of muscle I am gaining. Below is a list of my supplements, I take a lot. I believe you need to take a lot to see a difference. Again thanks to you guys and the forum.

    In Summary:
    I believe caffeine (soda, coffee, energy drinks) severely restricts blood flow to the genitals, that means low sex drive, loss of sensation and NO PE gains.
    Anything that increases blood flow to the genitals (green tea + ginger, Viagra) has the opposite effect.

    My supplements, listed by importance:
    Green Tea with raw ginger, sweetened with honey
    Tribulus Terrestris (850 mg, from Biomedical Research Labs, the only one that has worked for me, huge difference in semen amount)
    L-Arginine 3000 mg (This is what's giving me my muscle)
    Garlic Capsules 4000 mg
    Resveratrol 500 mg
    Ginseng 250 mg
    Ginkgo Biloba
    and to Prevent Hair Loss from the increased testosterone (Nioxin Capsules and Shampoo, saw palmetto)


    I get some of my supplements when CVS or Walgreens has them on sale, buy one, get one free. I don't mind spending any amount of money for the health that I have now.

    Also, I know am going against the current here, I skip breakfast and lunch and drink green tea instead; I don't get as hungry. If I have breakfast or lunch I get as hungry as hell all day and I eat more! The savings from skipping breakfast and lunch more than pay for my supplements. Also, I have been trying some PE devices form ebay I will let you know how they work in the future.

    This of course makes a lot of sense. Caffeine is after all a vaso-constricter. I am glad you found that out, but saddened that you found it out this late. Though there is always time to improve

      I recognize so much of what you are saying AvoidCaffeine.

      For me it was just drinking very strong coffee throughout the day. Had a similar effect.

          You are not alone paradoxfix.

          If you can get it down to 1 or 2 per day, it makes a huge difference.

          I cannot do completely with out it, it is pleasurable after all.

              Welcome AvoidCaffeine.

              I have successfully replaced soda-pop and energy drinks with green tea and fresh brewed cocoa. That along with working out has helped me drop about 17lbs and massively boost my EQ. I still have a way to go (more weight to lose) before I get a 6-pack, but my erections are much harder and I feel much better these days.

              I'm just saying we are on the same page about the ill effects of energy drinks--I just didn't realize how severe things could get!

                I did an experiment a while back..by cutting off caffeine pretty much completely for a couple months, thinking it was having an effect on my libido.

                Mind you, my caffeine intake came from drinking lots of tea, not coffee or sodas. I cut down my tea consumption to 1-2 8oz cups of green tea in the morning and that was it.

                Around the same time, per my endo's instructions while testing for low testosterone..I cut off all my supplement pills except my multi. Though the 2nd tesosterone test came back higher once I was off the pills (went from 320 to 670), I still have never felt any change in my libido or erection quality. I am now back on some supplements (the 5 G's) with some zinc and cayenne pepper pills added in. I am actually giong to make a new thread about this specifically (supplements that is).

                So anyways...I believe the normal caffeine consumption (or safe consumption) is like 320mg per day...a regular glass of black tea I believe contains roughly 30-60mg, a glass of green tea contains roughly 15mg.

                I assume a consumption of 100mg of caffeine a day honestly probably doesn't make much of a difference in erection quality or quantity. For me, dropping it from probably 450mg / day (I drank a lot of tea) down to 50mg still didn't make a difference and this was over a couple months.

                note - i will try the cocoa thing. is doing swiss miss ok?

                  get some straight dutch cocoa powder.

                  perfect hot coco:
                  1 1/2 cup milk - near boil
                  1 tbsp fine cocoa powder
                  sugar to taste

                  you can make your own instant cocoa if you use dry milk, superfine sugar and cocoa powder

                    Caffeine in higher doses is vasoconstrictor, in lower amounts it is a vasodilator. The problem for you I believe was drinking those monsters for all of them years, they have WAY too much caffeine, and you could have even been sensitive to caffiene and not had known it. I get up in the morning have a couple cups of coffee, and about an hour later my flaccid is engorged. Bottom line, too much of anything wouldn't be good for you, same with tea even green it does have caffiene.

                      Ex coffee addict here! All through my senior year of high school and all 5 years of college, I drank roughly 5 cups+ of coffee per day, as well as other caffeinated drinks. Senior year of college I had my first full blown panic attack which forced me to reduce my coffee intake, but not kick the habit completely. Been out of school for 4 years now and green tea is my only source of caffeine...I can't say enough positive things about what this has done to both my flaccid hang as well as my overall anxiety. Green tea gives you the mental alertness that coffee does without the jittery feeling that often comes with it. Green tea>coffee for sure

                        I noticed I get better results from commercial hot cocoa sold at coffee shops than by using baking cocoa powder. Hot cocoa drinks use Dutch processed (alkalized) cocoa to reduce the bitterness. This seems counter intuitive, since the alkalizing process reduces the anti-oxidant levels in the cocoa. Has anyone else noticed this effect? I am thinking of trying some black cocoa (black onyx) that is alkalized to the maximum amount to test my theory.

                          people like to recommend green tea yet the ammounts of coffein it has it's not ideal.The ideal ammount of coffein is in white tea.If you drink for example 3 cups of green tea you will seriously ramp down your heart and it may disrupt your sleeping patterns.Coffein is a toxin, if you drink green tea your best bet is decaf green tea.Don't get me wrong even black tea is brilliant but it has too much coffein and it will do harm sooner or later.

                            My name is Stretch and I'm a Monster Addict! I love them,not for the energy but they just plain taste good. I limit myself to 1 per day.I have been drinking the blue Monster for approximately 5 years now. I was acoffee addict but only drink a cup or two a day. I have never had ED or anyproblems of the sort. I believe they affect people different. I think you areright on with the green tea. I drink green tea when ever I have a choice ofregular tea, black tea or a soda (not counting the Monsters). I think anythingyou can do to put more natural food or drink into your body the better off youare. I workout quite a bit and drink a crap load of water throughout the day.

                              Sugar in estimulant drinks is a lot more harmful than caffeine.
