the best source of BIO-AVAILABLE zinc can be found in oysters. oysters have the most zinc per weight of any food. Another source of zinc is found in beef. Being that it is in meat, it is easily absorbed by the body. I wouldn't worry about depleted zinc levels unless your blowing your load all the time. if then, start shucking some oysters and make some steak tartar.

I take a centrum multi-vitamin every morning that has 15mg of zinc. Thats 100% of my daily value!!!!

The remainder will be flushed from your system. You do not store zinc, unlike water soluble vitamins that will remain in your fatty tissue and be used as you burn calories. This is one of the reasons I recommend a 5 day on 2 day off with all supplements. This allows the body to remove excess, in a cleansing action.
