Stretching devises are in my opinion, expensive, over rated, difficult to use and keep on, very obvious under clothing and do not work as well as manual stretching.
Stay with the Newbie routine I posted here. I know it is time consuming but if you REALLY WANT to gain, you MUST make the time. You CAN find an hour in a day that you are doing something else, computer time, TV, that you can swap for a good quality hour of PE. It's up to you to make the time. Good luck and keeps us informed. Jon,

As many people have mentioned on here, thank you for your advice and guidence! I've just started up again with my PE and I'm going to fully work at it using your 90 day plan.

I have also acquired (some time ago) a Jelq Device. I bought it before finding out about these forums, so at the moment it's collecting dust in my drawer at home. Would you recommend leaving it there until I've completed the 90 day routine, or is it something that I can bring into this routine?

I have to be honest and say that when wet jelqing with my hands, I find that I get a better pump than by using the Jelq Device. When I use this machine, I find that my penis gets quite dry and sore.

Finally, how hard do you grip when jelqing? I tend to grip so hard that my hand ends up hurting afterwards, but I feel that it's the only way to really truely force the blood down my shaft.

As always, thanks again for your guidence, you really are helping a lot of guys make a big difference!

Hey ReetB, I myself love the Jelq Device. I would suggest that you do at least 6 weeks of the 90 day Newbie Routine before working the JD into your exercises. Then, using alot of lube, (you want the rollers to slide smoothly,) after the Jelqing and "V" Jelq portion, before warm down. Use the JD to do 50, slow, quality Jelqs at about 60-70% erection. Stopping at the glans and holding (with a nice, easy pull) for 5 seconds before starting another rep. 1 slide up the penis counts as 1 rep.
How hard to grip while Jelqing? Only hard enough to move the blood bulge from base to glans. If you Jelq too hard, you can easily bruise your penis.
And, thank you for the kind words. JP

Thanks Jon, I really appreciate your comments!

I’ll give the JD a go after 6 weeks of your routine and see how I get on with it. It’s interesting you mention using it with lube. I never actually thought of doing that because I thought the rollers would slip too much, but I’ll give it a go.

Regarding the strength of my jelq grip, I think I might be doing it too hard. I think my unit is used to being tugged about as I used to masturbate a lot. So when I jelq now, I almost feel as if I have to work extra hard to get the blood flowing more than normal. Perhaps I should try Jelqing at a higher erection level?

I haven’t had any bruising as yet and even though I’ve not been going long, I’ve noticed that the veins in my penis are more prominent now.

Out of interest, did you (when doing your 90 routine) add anything else? By this I mean, when going to the bathroom, did you ever do a few stretches after you finished peeing? I'm also doing a lot of kegals so hopefully that will help as well.

It’s all good fun learning though

I found that the best lube for the JD is, Johnson & Johnson Baby Oil Gel. You want the (rollers is a misnomer) Dura-Cylinders, to slide. I found that 60-70% erection is best to move the blood bulge.

No, when I first started PE, there wasn't much on the net or many PE sites. I discovered BetterMan through a link to the Jelq Device. It seemed that everyday people were discovering new ways to do the rub and tug so I tried all that I read. I got many injuries and set backs. After much reading and talking to many people, I wrote the "Newbie Routine for Beginners" Which I brought over here as the 90 day routine. I stayed with that routine for many months. Of course as my PE knowledge grew, yes I added more and more things. But the Newbie Routine was what "brung me to the dance."

When asked I always recommend doing the program for the full 90 days before adding or trying anything new. The penis is a wonderous thing and we are doing things to it that are changing it's basic structure. It takes awhile to condition this fine organ to adapt to those changes. Those that don't heed this advice are the one's that wind up injured. Those that do and feel that this isn't enough and don't see immediate results are drop-outs.
Now that I am over 5 years into doing PE, yes, I would recommend doing pee pulls and as many Kegels as you can.
The 90 day routine is over 4 years old now. I should go and revise some of it to bring it up to modern day standards. BUT.. For a Newbie, just starting into PE, this is still a very good beginners routine and should be done, as written.

Thanks Jon!

I'll track down some Johnson & Johnson Baby Oil Gel as I know that I can get that over here. Perhaps that will be better to use when jelqing as well as I'll hold off using my JD device at least until I've completed the first 6 weeks of your begineers guide.

Out of interest, you mentioned about "updating the guide to bring it up to modern standards". Without asking you to re-write the entire thing, do you mean by this that you would amend the exercises stated, or just change the format with the current exercises (e.g. reps, format, etc)?

As I'm just starting out, I'd be interested to hear if you think I should be thinking about "modernising" your approach.

I'll also think about the pee pulls (I can't remember the proper name for these) at a later date as well.

Thanks again buddy!

Jon, questions on the LOT and exercises. My loss of tug is around 8:00, which means i need to exercise out and up. Correct?

When I'm hard my cock points almost straight up and to me that means my ligs are tight on the front side. So wouldn't I want to to stretch them by stretching and exercising down? Just a little confused!
