Agreed. I feel you should hold a hard stretch for no less than 30 seconds (do Helicopter shake to restore blood in glans after each stretch.) in all 4 directions.
Good observation here: "It has come to my attention that manual stretching the penis with such force can cause a temporary contraction." I think this might be caused by the smooth muscle contracting due to the increased stress.
How hard should we pull when we do the following stretches? Here's what I recommend:
The basic stretch: Moderate to light force. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would say 4 in the beginning... and gradually increase to 6 or so overtime.
The jai stretch: No more than a "1" - Always! A lot of men get this wrong. The JAI stretch is different in all the other stretches in that your ligaments should not be stressed at all.
Tunica stretching: As JP says, hard stretches are good when you're conditioned for them... but restore blood flow fairly quickly.
Thanks for that remek and JonPop. I guess I have been doing the jai's and the basic wrong. I will adjust accordingly and hopefully won't get that temporary contraction.
This is why i stress warm ups! Your penis bocomes compliant and likely stretches better and further. Stretch in a safe and non painful manner. Avoid pain and you should do well.

Those helicopter shakes realy work a treat for restoring a decent pumped flaccid. I do them routinely now. Before I mistook them for the rotating stretching but on further analysis I have realised you just lightly grip and spin the penis round very fast.
