Rep Power: 10 | "Fuck the warm-up" Many new guys, including myself when I was new, say all-to-hell with the warm-up. If this is you, I urge you to rethink your thinking. A warm-up is more beneficial than the actual exercises you are doing. I repeat, a warm-up is more important than the exercises. Why?
For the evidence, I will refer to the original PE survey. As many of you may recall, my first analysis of the "warm-up" question pointed to the opposite of what I am stating now. It showed that overall, those who used a warm-up "most of the time" or "always," didn't gain more than those who "rarely" or "never" used a warm-up...
I was never really satisfied with this conclusion. However, facts are facts.... Flash forward a few months: I begin thinking that a warm-up might just be more beneficial for beginners than the average veteran. Why?
Well, because we all know that the beginners are less conditioned than the veterans. Perhaps using heat on a pre-conditioned penis causes for more elasticity than a conditioned one. This I am not positive about. However, I am positive of the results: For my second warm-up analysis I used men who had been PEing for 2 months or less. In other words, I used newbies -- or as I like to call you guys, beginners.
The results:
The beginners that used a warm-up Always or Most of the time gained exactly 2 cubic inches (that's in volume).
The beginners that used a warm-up Never or Rarely gained exactly .82 cubic inches (that's in volume). Conclusion
The conclusion is very clear. On average, the beginners that used a warm-up gained more than 2 times as much (closer to 3 times) than those that did not use a warm-up. TAKE HOME MESSAGE for the beginners: The 5-10 minutes you will spend on a warm-up, could be much more important than the 5-10 minutes of extra stretching and jelqing you might get by skipping it. |

This was my experience with a warm-up when I was a beginner:
I would typically do a warm-up every once in a while. I religiously did it for the first week or two, but after that, using a warm-up was scarecly in my routine. However, when I did do the warm-up, I noticed a few things.
My penis was always more "elastic." I never measured my BPFSL, but if I did, it would have been longer after using a warm-up. It seemed much more like a rubber band, and much more responsive to the stress I was applying on it. This right here was evidence enough for me.
This right here should be the true test for you. Is a warm-up making your penis more elastic? Even a little? (In this type of exercising, every bit counts.) If you answered yes, then I stick with my suggestion: Use a warm-up.
My guess is that sooner or later, for the veterans, a warm-up begins to become less effective... This line of thinking may be completely off the wall, but it is what I believe. I think once you reach a certain point (after the first two months), the penis becomes less responsive to the warm-up. Thus, it results in less elasticity than normal. Sometime in your career it might produce no extra elasticity. In this case, I would suggest taking a break from the warm-up for a few weeks, and then returning for a week or two -- hopefully adding a nice extra "pop" in your gains. |

Yes, I think the warm-up is momnumental in the beginning. Towards the end it might be a little different. However, during the earlier stages of PE, it allows the penis to adapt much easier without those nasty side effects. |

Rep Power: 0 | When I warm up it's perhaps just as much as a metal warm up, as it's a phsycal. But I feel I get more out of the work out, when i have warmed up, then when i haven't. But that's maybe just a metal thing. (: |

I think you mean *mental* And, to be honest, I know what you mean. . . A good warm-up can really get you psyched for PE. |

Rep Power: 0 | I actually found something else that was beneficial. During my first two and a half weeks of PE, I found that often with warm-ups I'd have less trouble getting 70-90% erection during jelqing as opposed to no warmup.

Good info. I've never had that problem, so I didn't know. . . Regardless, all the more reason to warm-up. |
