Yes, it was contamination, but I forgot the specific element, probably the lead contamination.

speaking of contamination, I was reading up on a story from cnn (Tests reveal high chemical levels in kids' bodies - CNN.com) apparently a 18 month year old child has 8 times the amount of chemical levels of flame retardants that are known to cause thyroid dysfunction in lab rats.
