I have recently been interested in increasing my learning capability and focus since I will start studying once I get home to Sweden. six long years, if I never flunk a subject and manage to get in to begin with.

things I have added to my routine so far:
optimized my diet to include as much nutrients and be as basic as possible/healthy.

    things in looking into doing:
freediving for increased focus and IQ.
    go pornfree.
have sex regularly. I'm hoping that PE and being at an university will be enough.
    get in perfect physical shape.

has anyone has experience with freediving for IQ? I'm mostly looking for the most effective oxygen deprivation level for safe results.

if you would like to point me to something useful, discuss the effect of previous habits, or just ask questions, post below.
I'm on the phone right now, otherwise I would post links.

Weird, i've never heard of that... I must now learn about this. Oxygen deprivation causes brain damage... I'm curious what kind of brain damage is responsible for enhanced learning capacity.

Okay, first thing I pulled up was information counteracting the notion of oxygen deprivation improving your thinking skills. Going to continue research, but as a preliminary response I'd steer clear of anything that could break your brain, man

The formula for calculating IQ is flawed as it places far too much emphasis on age, I personally don't pay too much attention to it, it isn't a true representation of intelligence. I have always had a high IQ but I just failed my first year of college, so it doesn't mean much, a strong work ethic is key

Intelligence isn't overly important, it is the application of your intelligence that counts. Plenty of guys are smart, but it is those who work hard and hustle who succeed

I'm not a fan of this, but it may offer some explanation...

Apnea promotes genius (extreme intellectual ability)? - DeeperBlue.com Forums

They've not cited any actual studies, but say they read it somewhere... I'm trying to find where they found this information... All medical science points to the absolute opposite.

Padawan, you are absolutely correct. Having a high IQ doesn't automatically make you capable of getting straight As. Most of university is time management, desire to succeed and a willingness to make sacrifices. Just like in life, it's not ALWAYS the A students who are CEOs...

Okay... Here's an Abstract for a study, but I want to see the whole study :-/

And Here's an Abstract where a Japanese Diver broke his brain from too much Diving in short stints.

LOL. Freediving for increased IQ, in Google, comes up with your post first Silver. Haha

I would say it is only severe oxygen deprivation that damages the brain, and only does so if exposed for a while. If this wasn't true, tall people would have trouble in their later life from blacking out from standing up too fast, which I am sure happens at least as much as it has for me. Also you don't get brain damage from exercising, right? Well if you have done any anaerobical work or ran faster and longer than you ought to to be able to run far, you get oxygen deprivation.
The theory behind it is that when underwater you get something called 'the mammalian response' which, in short, makes sure you can survive under water for as long as it is possible for you by focusing oxygen supplies on heart, lungs and brain.

When I say increase my IQ, I mean Intelligence Quality, not Intelligence Quality score
Also, I do have good work ethics and discipline, my concentration however, is lacking... It's so hard sometimes, for no reason, that I think it is physical, not mental.
Also, is it true that the norm is 100? On all the test I have taken (three) I get 120-130, and so does my friends... It probably is flawed, as you say.

Haha, awesome. I think the other sites must be very unreliable then, thats a good thing... right?

EDIT: found the first link I found on the subject, 2 years ago or something.

I would also like to add that, if you did a google search on penis enlargement just a few years ago, what would you find? Yep mostly reasons you should not do it, injuries and people just saying 'No'. All I'm asking for is an open mind, I wont black out like most of the professionals do regularly during their career. They do it for sport, I wouldn't

Anarobic work means that muscles are working so hard that they cannot get enough O2 to continue, let's say running, so they turn to anerobic respiration to continue to function, which at the same time builds up lactic acid in the muscles and when you're done exercising they burn. The burn is kind of like the body telling you that you overdid things and to not do it again.
Brains need oxygen to think and function. The mammalian part of the brain takes over when you have deprived the brain of what it needs to function on a higher level so it drops down to a more primitive one. Even lower than that is the reptilian part of the brain. Personally I think reptiles are getting a bad rap.
You want to increase your knowledge? Read, read, and then read some more, hopefully with a good oxygen supply. By the way while you're depriving your brain of oxygen do you think that will make the other organs of your body that need oxygen happy?

If rum, coffee, or a nap doesn't cure it then it's serious!

Since it is only for a brief time, and they do not get completely deprived, I see no harm in this. Did you ever get a sort of stomachache while running? That is your stomach and intestines not getting enough oxygen to decompose the food you ate. I think this is the same thing, of course I am not sure.

The mammalian response doesn't impair brain function, only redirect blood.

What I want from this is not knowledge, it is the increased ability to learn it. Like an experience boost in a game

I want to do this to make the body adapt, just like with any exercise, to being able to supply the brain with more oxygen. The brain still needs oxygen, so when the blood contains less oxygen/liter, the brain needs more blood, which the body will adapt to, meaning better blood supply semi-permanently. Again just a theory, but very plausible.

I really appreciate you on the forum CUSP, but as I said, please be open about this. There might be little proof, but the same is true for PE, so don't just dismiss it, please. Respect cusp, peace out.
