Kaskman is on a distinguished road
Default Injury or ingrown hair? Opinions valued.

Towards the base of my shaft on the underside... I noticed I got a lump. It's new, surely. It looks just kind of like a lump of skin, it's sort of reddish. I'm thinking it's an ingrown hair, if I press it there's a little pain. People at MOS forums have a lot of problems with thromboses veins... but it really doesn't look like a vein. It's something on my skin, as it will move with the skin over my shaft as I stretch it. But I did have an intense girth workout the night before. I have rested since I found it two days ago... but want to resume tomorrow.

Anybody have an opinion?

I also have something else I should ask. This is a like a tiny little bubble, maybe half millimeter in diameter that's on the top of my unit in the middle. It's very elastic. I have the feeling its from working out/uli's... I'm pretty sure it disappears when I rest. Know how I could get rid of it? What is it?

Thanks for any ideas.

Hey man, that could be HPV. Don't get all freaky on me just yet. If it in any way resembles a bump, wart, skin tag, insect bite ect........ from what you described it could be a wart. I know you probably think there's no way but there is an easy test. Soak a tissue or small cloth in vinegar (at least a 5% acid solution like apple cider venegar), get it soaking wet and apply it directly to the spot for at least 20-30 minutes and see if it turns white. If it turns white then its most likely a wart. 8 out of 10 women are infected with HPV at some point in their lifetime and they easily transfer it to men. With us its just a bother of warts or what not, but it can cause cervical cancer in women. It can easily be removed with the same vinegar solution but its only a topical control, you would still have it in your bloodstream and be able to transmit it. many men have it and dont know as they don't show symptoms. Excessive stimulation to the area , emotional or physical traumas seem to be linked to an occurrence in asymptomatic carriers. Of course it could just be an ingrown hair. Is it in an area you shave a lot? This can spread the virus over the surface of skin also. Give it the vinegar test as its easy and fast and if it does turn white I can tell you how to get rid of it and I'd strongly reccomend seeing your doctor if it doesn't go away on its own within a few days. In the mean time don't shave or aggravate the area and wash it thouroughly with soap and water, and make sure and use condoms if you have sex. They can grow in clumps and groups and its not pretty nor comfortable. I've pasted a link below for you to check out.
Best of luck.........

I get ingrown hairs sometimes Kaskman and what you've described does sound like one. However, Phibby is right to mention HPV just in case.

You can get some stuff called Ingrow-Go which is great for ingrowing hairs. Can I ask, do you shaft your shaft with a razor at all? I normally get ingrowing hairs when I've had a very close shave.

These ingrowing hairs can be very painful and I've pulled on out before that was really long. I'd monitor it, maybe get some Ingrow-Go (or something similar) and see if you can see a hair in there. If you can, a gentle scrub with some decent exfoliator can remove fine layers of skin about the hair and release it.

Hope this helps

Another great post, PH. I'm adding a point I've made in another thread. If you know anybody with a female child aged 12 or older, encourage the parents - or the woman is she is of legal age - to get an HPV vaccination. Here's the story you can share with them: HPV Vaccine Information For Young Women
