Haha, no that team is an elite AFL team, the highest level of football in Australia. I, on the other hand am a washed up hack that cant kick or run more than about 50 meters without being puffed out. Kicking a oval shaped ball is actually easier than kicking a round soccer ball. It just takes practise. I acknowledge the fact I have probably alienated every world game fan with the above comment, but hey, what are you gonna do?

Thats what life is about my friend, finding things you enjoy. Soccer is a great game with so many elements to it.

....Go the Lions. Haha, Luckily us Rugby boys have shorts which are a little less revealing than you AFL lads. RockofFox, have you heard the 12th man skit on the AFL shorts? An absolute crack up.

How do you think the new gold coast and western sydney teams will go in such traditional rugby areas? The AFL is certainly throwing everything at them to succeed. Not sure Sydney is ready for a second side yet? Yeah I dont mind the Lions, us Port fans have respect because we had such good rivalry from 2000-2004 and the games were all played in good spirit. I think Pegasus is a Queenslander aswell.

Just so I'm not threadjacking here, Briefs when working out for the very reasons Fox spoke of. Boxers most other times, unless its around the house or any situation I can get away with nothing comfortabley. And I think the gold coast might have a chance to recruit some of those North Queensland boys, but its a tough call. I think if they dont get swamped in the first few seasons they might pull through. I can't say I'm the worlds greatest AFL fan but I do love to watch any sport I can get my hands on, and 2000-2003 was just a miracle time for the Lions but they certainly were played in good spirit. Funny how multicultural this forum is, it seems there are men here from all corners of the world. |
