Hey guys,

Over the years I have developed an incredible addiction to porn. I really can't go for even a couple days without watching it, and I even come up with a bunch of porn stories for films on a daily basis! It's hard for me to get an erection, and I can't get a full one, without pornography. I even was about to have sex with someone (but it turned out she was on her period

) and it was still hard for me to get it up.

Do any of you go through what I'm talking about? This is probably more normal (or common) than I think it is..

Ya - the excitement was a lot for me too, which is why I really had to stop. Give it up completely - I would try slow masturbation with lube - concentrate on the sensation...there is actually a cure for what you are talking about, called "sensate focus"

You can actually train yourself to different types of stimulus. This is where I lose people when I suggest avoiding the porn. No, there is nothing wrong with being entertained by some nice porn occasionally just like watching a good western, action drama or sporting event.The problem comes when we use porn as an aphrodisiac on a regular basis. When you do it regularly, you're training yourself mentally and physically to be dependent on it. A good imagination and lubricant with yourself or a partner would be far better.

If you turned 18 a little over a year ago that would make you 19 now. Your Profile says you were born in 1991, which would make you 18 . Do you know how old you are?

The cause and effects are just as you stated them. With "all things" in life, too much quenches and modifies the appetite for it. Strive to keep from addictions (all types) and balance your drives and appetites. This makes the enjoyment Of (whatever) that much better. I think deep in side you know the next step.

I think guys who are addicted to porn generally do not have enough confidence in themselves to go out and meet women. I am not being disrespectful or giving a morality lesson. It is hard for some guys to interact with women. So, they use porn as an indirect way to see a woman naked. I realize it might be difficult for guys who are shy/introverted to initiate conversations with women, but with practice it can be done. Talk leads to dates which leads to more dates which eventually leads into sex!! Real sex, not masturbation!!
