How do I create a signiture?

Hi, Simple question, I've tried on my profile page but I can't see anyway of doing it, help much appreciated.

Click on "forum" at the top of the page, then click on "edit signature" which will be at the right side of the page.

To get mine show I had to do the following:

• Go to the main forum page
• Click 'edit my signature'
• Save my signature
• Post a new message
• 'Edit' that post
• Click on 'go advanced'
• Tick 'show my signature' and save the changes

I'm still not sure if it stays for all of my posts or just the one I edit!
