Play with fire, you can get burned. Play with snakes and you might get bit. Play with sharp edged tools and you might very well cut a limb off. Play with your penis and you could get all sorts of nasty bruises, rashes, veinous leakage, hard flaccid, loss of ability to get erect, premature ejaculation and loss of erection quality, hell, I bet you could even cause your penis to fall off altogether.
Sounds crazy right?
Obviously a man's penis is one of his most treasured assets and a very sensitive and defenseless body part, so why put it at risk. Jelqing, which is basically masturbating without a full erection and using a much lighter grip can burst blood vessels and do nerve damage beyond repair, at least according to some ummm, ...........unlucky....ummm.just a sec......damn.......I'm sorry, I'm not sure what to call them. These unfortunate "Doomsayers" seem to be able to totally destroy their penis, their libido, and all hopes of ever recovering, just with stretching and jelqing, all of course according to the book and just as suggested. I pull my peter almost as hard just whipping it out to piss as I do when I stretch it. Any of you guys ever injure yourself doing that?(no zippers please)
I for one understand that it is indeed possible to injure yourself doing PE, but I also believe that you have to go much further than light jelqing and stretching to actually damage your penis. This leaves me perplexed as to how so many guys can get such terrible injuries by doing normal exercises that many of us do daily without any problem whatsoever. I submit that I masturbated just as fervently and vigorously as a child, as I have PE'd as an adult and never suffered traumatic injury or damage warranting medical help. How can you damage it by simply jelqing and stretching? I am left with this question in my mind and I swear it is not intended to single out anyone or in no way intended to insult those with injury but are you intelligent enough to PE? Do you have adequate knowledge and brain function to protect yourself from injury or damage? Obviously anyone can masturbate and literally choke their chicken lifeless for years and never see an injury so why is a little jelqing and stretching all of the sudden such a traumatic force on the penis? Again, this is not singling anyone out and in no way is personal in nature. I'd just like to understand how someone can injure themselves if in fact they are doing a normal PE routine in a proper manner.

Its like this, they feel unless they are inflicting pain they wont grow. They take the no pain no gain concept right into PE. PE can be done safely if you change your thinking. Your working smooth muscle veins, arteries, nerves and a tunica. It is not the same as skeletal muscle. The penis is a balloon it can expand get thicker and longer safely. You just need to blow it up a little at a time.

That's the problem Phibby. So many folks do PE in a drastic and improper manner. The only thing we can do is try to encourage as many people as we can to do PE correctly and with a sense of control and patience. It's ultimately up to the individual how they are going to approach PE, as is the case with everything in life.

Unfortunately, there is no cure for stupidity.

It's very simple....PE isn't for everybody!!! It's about more than just rubbing and tugging at your cock, it's about time, commitment, and atttention to detail. PE is a personal journey, one that has changed me very much from the day I started.

Note that almost all of the guys complaining on these boards are either A. spammers/shillers or B. have done something in training that they shouldn't have. The latest guy causing a huge stir on Thunder's (and apparently here too) claims to have only done "moderate" jelqing, yet a search on his posts show that he was researching "Mummy Clamping" at about the time he started complaining about issues with his glans. He was also putting up a CV for his surgeon (which is the latest MO among spammers) so I'd watch him to see what happens next.

I'm not saying that it's impossible to hurt yourself doing PE- on the contrary; if you don't know what you're doing, if you're performing risky movements, or if you're doing too much too soon you can hurt yourself, but it's quite difficult to hurt your penis permanently doing standard, sensible PE exercises.

If you have a preexisting condition it's quite likely that you'd know about it before starting PE- likely through substandard performance or partial ED. Knowing what I know about penile anatomy, I can't picture someone being capable of engaging in satisfactory vigorous sex and then becoming hurt doing sensible PE. it doesn't make sense from a physiological POV.

This is a great thread and I agree strongly with everything everybody said.

It's easy to get carried away, I'm sure we can all appreciate this. That's why it's so important for newbies to realize that PE is not like other things in life, and that you've got to take a deep breath, relax, and not treat it like a 30-yard dash. It's a marathon, not a sprint, and you need to stay cool if you want a cucumber.

Yeah great thread guys, some great posts.
The only rationale I can bring to the table is that like anything it can be a bit of trial and error. Someone might read a few posts, not read the right ones and be unsure as to how hard he needs to squeeze or stretch to get a result and then BAM!!

Its not like when you first walked into a gym and you had the bloke with the awesome muscles taking you through your first routine and then next week the other guy with the great muscles telling you that you should train with him and use his routine!!

So I can to a small degree understand it. Remember we live in a world where (some of) these young bucks expect everything yesterday, and expect a 10 inch cock in 5 minutes.

Please note I am not making excuses for those who injure themselves however

There are guy's out and about in this world that could screw up a wet dream. Once a person gave me this advise. "If you are going to be stupid then you better be tough" and "It hurts worse as you get older".
These guy's will work out personal issues or be tough and in pain.
Some just have motivations and desires that can not be understood.
This all comes with the territory on public forum.

I think it's also true that newbies go into this and rather than gently giving the car some gas, they smash the petal into the floor board. They seem to have a hard time understanding the time and patience theory. PE is all about time and patience. Look at how long most of us long timers have been doing this? YEARS! There is a lack in understanding in the time aspect of PE, not to mention the easing into it.
