Nah man, you didn't come across as mean. I just wanted to clear up any confusion my post might have created.
I don't take the, I guess it would be, outright approach of asking women out. That usually gets me shot down quick in 99% of the cases as it seems to pushy or just from a general rep guys have.
To be honest, a lot of what you say is me as well. Like I said, it takes me a while to get comfy around people in general but that has actually helped me with the ladies. It takes time though once you get confy and confident. I did make the mistake though of being over confident to which my results dropped dramaticly as stated above. I went back to being me and it's worked.

Hey bud, I appreciate your honestly in the porn reboot thread man. Sorry, my post was more of a generalization from what I've seen and been around personally, wasn't so much directed at any specific person.
Meh, personally, I think you are on the right track. I hardly ask for girls numbers or anything of the sorts. Like you, I prefer to just talk. After a while you might receive some signs and what not if a girl is interested but those are the ones I shoot for myself.
Keep on doing what you're doing man, be loose and all, some girls dig the shy quiet type.
