Science doesn't state it does nothing, although many scientists will say that. This is because, what science says, is "We don't know" because it doesn't take people's word for it. Science needs to test this before it can justify what people have been saying. Problem is, its not easy to test, and there isn't really any funding for a PE product that is essentially free.
