I know JP increased the amount of rest, from a 5/2 to a 2/1 routine with good results.
During my advanced PE phase I cut back to doing PE 3x a week (I was doing up to 6x a week at one point). I busted a small plateau and the gains kept coming. I felt refreshed and my PIs went up as well.

Though when you stretch, do your cells become bigger (hypertrophy) or does the tunica create new cells to make it longer (hyperplasia)?
