I recently stumbled across the below article that I thought was quite interesting: American Chronicle | Health Benefits Of Aloe Vera Juice The article states that there are many health benefits to Aloe Vera juice, but most interestingly from a PE point of view, the following jumped out at me: "The health benefits of aloe vera taken internally include: improved circulation, regulation of blood pressure, heals internal tissue damage" AND "Aloe vera also helps to dilate the capillaries and support cell growth, thereby improving circulation." Sounds like a great PE supplement don't you think?

This was very popular a few years back in the general community, don't know about the pe community. You can still get it at health food stores. I actually grow a few plants in case of burns ,as the gel when you cut the leaf is the best thing just painted onto the burn site. |

The juice is still available in most pharmacies and in other venues. There are two types one for external use, burns scrapes etc, in other words topical applications. And a type for internal use. Did your article happen to mention that the juice internally is a powerful laxative, almost a cathartic. The first time you try it stay close and don't take any long trips. Personally I use the external type as a lube, works well and is water soluble, also very refreshing on the skin.

From what I have seen the people who still use it use it aas a laxitive mainly. I have only used it externally direct from the plant. |

I have some aloe plants in my house. They look fabulous and you don't have to water them only twice a week. During summer I take some aloe vera pills called Aloeride in order to make my tan last longer and prevent skin cancer. If I get chapped lips during winter or if I cut or burn myself I just rip a small leaf from my aloe plant and rub it on. And of what I read.. it's a natural source of essential amino acids. |

I have a very large aloe plant growing just outside my slider. Everybody needs one of these for burns. They are very easy to grow, also.

I've used pure aloe vera as a jelqing lube. You can buy it at Walmart, but make sure it's 100 percent aloe vera. Some brands add alcohol. It works fairly well for jelqing, but tends to get absorbed quickly and needs to be reapplied during your session. One benefit of its use is that it promotes healing, so if you've got a rash or bumps, it's probably a good choice for lubrication.

Aloe Vera if taken internally is actually very very beneficial. I take it daily. Its absolutely loaded with vital vitamins and minerals, and from a traditional chinese medicine point of view, is like an elixir to my particular health needs. This is because it is cooling to the liver, stomach and sm intestine (in chinese medicine theory), and also a powerful cleansing agent of the digestive tract. (Notice how taking moderate-theraputic amounts of aloe juice can help reduce the coating on your tongue in certain circumstances, which can be an indication of stagnation or toxic acumulation {notice I say, in CERTAIN circumstances}). So it stands to reason that anything that helps keep the body healthy as a whole can only benefit p.e.

I tried it several times because I've got stacks of plants growing, and owing to my man-love for aloe, thought I could make my own. But it just ended up getting me in a foul mood. You can do it, but its if you can be bothered farting around cutting off the prickly stem then blending the gel. Also the taste is quite bitter. Commercial varieties dont seem to have the same bitterness (meaning its quite probably not as good for you). The best commercial aloe juice is the metagenics one, i've used a few, but they add lemon I think to this one and its a really nice flavour. I just add a shot to my pint glass of water at work. Good shit aloe, real good shit.
