While I didn't use to warm up prior to stretching, now I do, and I think it is better. I just tried an experiment, don't know if it means anything at all, but I tried it thinking there would be a difference. Prior to warming up today I did a flaccid stretch. Pulled quite hard and made sure the ruler was against my pubic bone. I measured at exactly 7 1/4". I then warmed up using a wash cloth for eight minutes soaking it using the hottest water setting in the shower, with water blasting. I remeasured myself repeating the above steps. There may or may not have been a 1/16 inch difference, but if there was any at all, that was it. After warming up your penis, it feels like putty in your hands, and with all of that apparent softer tissue I would have bet I would see a difference. I guess some others could give it a whirl and see if they record a difference or not. Then again, maybe this "experiment" doesn't prove anything.

I retested my previous experiment today with nearly the same results. On the positive side for myself my flaccid stretch increased 1/4" since I last tried this a little over a week ago. Again, what I did was do a flaccid stretch prior to working out or warming up. Today I reached 7 1/2". However, after using an extremely warm washcloth (reheating it every 60 seconds) for nine minutes, I remeasured again (before doing any stretching exercises). I only reached 7 1/4". I am not abdicating that we stop warming up, I am just very curious from those in the know as to why this happens. I would think just the opposite would occur. I wish some of you guys would give this a try and see if you get the same results or not. Phibby, this post is right up your alley!!!

Ok now, I need some help with this. Today I measured again before warming up to stretch. I measured 7 1/2". I added another minute to my warm up and used a hot cloth for 10 minutes. I reheated the cloth every 60 seconds. After warming up for the 10 minutes I remeasured myself and I added 1/4" to the stretch (7 3/4"). I wish some of you other guys would try using the rice sock, running hot water or whatever. If you did it for varying amounts of time maybe we could find out how long other methods need to be used before everything is warmed up and ready to go. If my results can be repeated, it is possible that warming up with a hot cloth for less than 10 minutes doesn't accomplish anything. Since no one else has contributed anything to this other than reading the thread, we don't have more info than we should. People can say you must warm up, or that you need to do it for x amount of time, but who else besides myself has done anything to verify that?
