Default Heat and Cold in Regards to Injury

So as of right now, my unit is pretty mangled up. While intoxicated, I caught my penis (more so my scrotum) in my zipper, and gave myself two cuts on my scrotum and a very small blood blister on the underside of my shaft where it meets the scrotum.

Now most advice in regards to penile injuries on this forum advocate for the use of heat. However, I've come to find out that heating will only increase swelling of inflamed areas. For example, I immediately resorted to heating for periods of 8-10 minutes periodically throughout the following days of my zipper incident, and keep PE'ing to a minimum of just light stretches and kegels. I began to notice strange things, such as the areas surrounding the two cuts began to appear more "swelled up" and that small blood blister is now almost the size of a damn penny.

I know that many will cry out that you cannot relate penis injuries to, say, a hamstring injury, but I feel the same principles should be applied. In all penile injuries, I feel that the application of cold for the first 72 hours will result in a quicker recovery. When you apply heat, it does cause more blood to rush to the area. So naturally many think "More blood = quicker recovery/healing". Unfortuneatly, I do not believe that's the way it works at first. When you rush more blood to an inflamed area, you cause it to expand more. The newly rushed blood will only further agitate the injured area. Cold, on the other, restricts the flow of blood to an area, and is proven to reduce swelling. Once the swelling has been reduced, heat can then be applied later for healing properties, when the rushed blood will no longer become trapped or cause additioning inflamation.

Even if you were to pop a ligament, that ligament will still experience inflamation. Before you can treat the ligament, you must first reduce the swelling. Hence, cold application before heat.

That's just my take on it.

Injuries that break the skin should be treated immediately with a good antibiotic such as 'Tea Tree Oil'. And yes a ligament strain should be treated with alternating cold and hot wraps.
Tea Tree Oil is the best I have ever found for small cuts and scratches. Do a search.
Any of our mates from Australia can tell you about the virtues of this product.

I bought some Tea Tree Oil at your recommendation. Do you think it would help with the blood blister?

Naw, blood blisters pretty much have to go away by themselves. I hope you cut yourself real soon, so you can try the tree tea oil. *Hee*

Hrmm, looks like I'm out of PE for a few weeks then. I read an option to help speed up healing blood blisters was to take a sterilized sharp needle and break the skin just by blood blister, effectively draining it without breaking the blister open. However, I do not like the thought of a needle near my penis so...oh well.
