Perhaps your schedule don't allow for bodybuilding which takes a lot of time in the gym. would your consider more of a micro workout.
Because i often work 10-12 hours per day it gives me little time to use the gym. So i go twice a week and i use a "slow" lifting method. Fewer reps, Fewer sets. However when you take the momentum out of the lift you maximize the tension on all three types of muscle fibers. Most resistance training utilizes two types of muscle fibers.
By lifting slower your engage more muscle fiber tiring the muscle faster, you get better results. Imagine doing regular crunches. Now add in a cadence a 12 count sequence with a feathered breathing pattern. You do fewer reps and build better abs.
imagine doing a incline bench press to a 10 count pattern.
i spend about 30 minutes two days a week in the gym lifting weights followed by 20 minutes of flexibility exercises.
