Default Clamping: how much blueness is normal?

today i clamped for 10min, 8 min, 10 min. (second time i've tried clamping) on the last set i specifically noticed it was comfortable (actually felt pretty cool), but slightly blueish by then end. as soon as i released, the blueness on my head was like shrinking little blotches that disapeared over about 15-30 seconds. is this normal?

It's really hard to say, was it cold also? A good rule of thumb is not to go numb, tingle, or get cold. For a second timer with clamping, you're possibly going overboard.

Coloring, spots, and coldness is beginner's effect, so start off low and go higher until your penis gets more conditioned. 3-5 mins per session for the first two weeks. Then 5-7, then 7-10 etc. It is good to probably stay at 10 for awhile before moving up.

Some tips are: soak in really hot water, for 10+ minutes beforehand; HOT, not Warm. Massaging the penis during the clamp sessions & slowly unclicking the notches to loosen it can help the discoloration fade. Massage the penis for 30 seconds to 1 minute after each session. Watching porn to maintain a constant fully engorged erection.

General rule is if its blue its bad, if its purple its worst, if its black . . . well don't ever get it to black.


I haven't done much clamping, so take this post with a grain of salt. FYI with clamping I was able to cement my ~.50 inch girth gains from jelqing.

I second Bill's idea that you might be going overboard. 3 sets on the second day of clamping is a lot.

What was your pre-clamping routine?

In regards to the blotches, were they white?

thanks for the reply bill, i appreciate it a lot. nope, im pretty sure i didnt notice any coldness. just the color change.

thanks remek, ill also cut one set out for now as you suggest.

past PE experience:
i have been easing my way up on a hanging routing involving 3-4 successive days, and then a break for the past couple weeks. i also did uli's, squeezes, head focused squeezes and manual stretches about every other day for the past year. i did jelks and manual stretches on and off for the 2.5 years before that.

based on what you guys have said, i will switch down to 2 sets of 6-8 minutes, about every other day. also, i will add in a bit of loosening and massaging if i look a little discolored. does this sound much more reasonable?

I get a little discoloration too, its normal. I think the HOT warm up beforehand, is as important for penis safety as massaging and loosening.

yaeh, ill be doing them too, i just didnt think to write them cause i always tend to do that anyways.

thanks again guys, im about to give another session a go in a few mins. if i think to i'll post how it went.

Hey guys,

Clamping does take a little getting used to.

I get into the mood. Take a baby sock that is cut off at the end.
Slide it down my shaft to the base and apply the cable clamp.

Regain my hardness and cinch the clamp down. Then I get on with other business for about 20 minutes. I know, most say 10 minutes at the most but my body say 20 minutes works real good.

If your dick looks purple that's OK. It's just purple. If it looks black then you really messed up. If the cable clamp just slides off your dick then you haven't positioned it correctly.

Sometimes your dick will get numb from hanging or clamping. That's what happens. Your job is to insure the when you start getting numb is to stop what ever you are doing and take a break. I always check to insure my dick never goes numb for very long.

Then start again. As long as you pay attention to details you will gain with no adverse effects.

I don't like the sound of letting your penis go numb. Not even sometimes.

I've used clamping as my only girth work, and have gained over 1 1/2",

it's been under extreme pressure, but releasing the clamp and a quick shake

has always had it back to a healthy deep pink colour straight away.

I prefer more shorter sets, rather than risk complications with long sets.

Anyway thats what works for me.
