Yeah rulers lie.
Anyway what's enough tension mean? With a lot of tension I never got sore but I feel the stretch, maybe you should take some weeks off.

TwitterI've actually seen this a few times recently. Those that go overboard on tension appear to gain less when it comes to extending. Remember, with extending, the goal is to gently coax the cells into wanting to divide, not to stretch pull and create micro-tears (as with hanging). I've gained .8" from extending before it became ineffective for me (after which I've moved on to hanging) so I can assure you that gains from extending are possible (note that I'm not saying that it's possible for everybody)
I personally believe that for extending its important to choose a tension that you can handle for very long periods of time. When I was extending, I was extending 10 hours per day - composed of a single 6-hour set and a single 4-hour set normally. I stayed between 600 and 1000 grams of tension for the most part. I believe that tensions higher than this elicit a different response from the cells in the body and the cellular division simply doesn't happen. I'm not saying that extending will work for you for certain, but there is some anecdotal evidence here on PEGym that supports lighter tensions being more effective.
Also, there is always hanging that you can try, which is more aggressive and may work for you. Quite a while back I did a contrast of extending and hanging in this thread: Hanger vs. Extender. You should check it out and decide where to go from here.
Good luck!

TwitterIm just wondering if the folks, that claim to have gained, did so by loosing weight and not by the use of the extender.

TwitterBPEL measurements are consistent with weight loss/gain (unless the loss or gain is very extreme)
I've actually gained some weight and still show a very significant gain.
In the end, everybody is different. What works for one person doesn't always work for the next. You need to experiment a little and see what works for you

TwitterI recommend rest days! I extend 6 days a week with 1 day off, and do PE 3 days a week. On the days I don't PE my penis is still extending but not getting as much stress on it because of no PE exercise, and have atleast one full day with no exercise, you will feel your penis hang more, feel looser and recover and should make gains. I honestly think it's harder for people to PE or Extend less days a week than do it 24/7, so taking rest days takes just as much discipline as doing PE. I'm not tryin to preach, but I'm on my 11th week of JP90 with 170 hours of stretching and have gone from BPEL 5.5 to BPEL 6.0, so i defiantly recommend taking rest days. =)

Just don't get it about extenders one had people says extender work on the same
Principle and with time everyone should and will gain. But when someone say they spent x numbers of weeks or months using one with no gains. Then its not for everybody and all these other factors that really don't mean nothing if it works on the same principle. Simple either they work or they don't. If you're using it right it supposed to work no if ands and buts. Right. I just don't get it.

There you go, man!! Extenders are just so damned cumbersome and complicated. Manual is so much easier and so much more effective. At least it was (and is) for me.
