This is a long post, but I think worth it for those that have the possibility of using a Fleshlight. It just works way better than edging with your hand, which has barely made me last longer during sex.
I'm a strong believer that a long term approach to edging with a fleshlight will fix almost anyone's premature ejaculation problems. As a long time sufferer that has tried countless methods, this is one of the only ones that has tremendously helped me. Unfortunately, lack of privacy doesn't allow me to hold a routine for more than a couple weeks or months during school breaks. I have gone from blowing in 3 strokes to being able to last 30 minutes+ at the peak of my performance. Time away from edging makes my PE worse, but everytime I have a long time to hold a routine, it seems to bring my base up. At the moment, I can last about 6 minutes no matter how long I am away from edging.
I have taken a couple approaches, the best one is setting a goal for one week and sticking with that. For major PE sufferers, you HAVE to stick to the goal for a week because your body and confidence needs to get used to it. If you increase your time too much and too quickly, you are just setting yourself up to fail. Take a LONG TERM approach- think about it, if you increase your time by only 1 minute a week, you could last 57 minutes in 1 year if you start at 5 minutes. I'm sure most people that suffer like me would be happy at even 10 minutes, which is only 2-3 months! And what is that compared to years and years that you all have been suffering for? Trust me, nothing will set you back more than setting your goals too high and messing them up.
The duel benefit of starting off slowly at 1-10 minutes is that your sexual performance matters most in the start. Think about it, if you don't feel your PONR within the first couple minutes and have a positive attitude, you could very well end up lasting 15-20 minutes. However, if you're having doubts from the start, you start worrying that you won't last long enough, and before you know it you blow in less than 2 minutes. With this routine, since you're going for a short amount of time in the start rather than going for the 30 minutes that a lot of other routines preach, you're hammering confidence and success into your brain in lasting for the most CRUCIAL time, the first couple minutes. Not only this, since these sets are so short, you can do multiple sets, maybe even 4 a day instead of only 1 or 2 times of going for 30 minutes. You're benefiting your body more, with less time. This is something I found it from experience, I was lasting much better by doing multiple, shorter routines than always going for 30 minutes. In this case, less is more.
Another thing you MUST avoid is porn. It's negative effects have probably been equal to those from setting my goals too high and too quickly. Even when I "quit" porn, I'll put it on only to get a quick erection before edging, rationalizing that it won't effect me since its for a short time. 1 minute later, go figure, I'm putting some hard core porn on and busting the next minute. It's happened over and over but for some reason my brain doesn't figure it out that PORN KEEPS MESSING ME UP. Do yourself a favor, don't do it. Not even for a second, not even to get a quick erection, for NO reason. Think about it this way, what's going to help you in the long term to get an erection (for those of you that have some ED problems), watching porn or working up an erection over a couple weeks/months until your body can do it with no problems? The latter. DO NOT WATCH PORN, especially while edging with the fleshlight. There is plenty of information on its effects on this forum, search it.
Another thing I have to talk about is using distractions, whether it be watching a movie or listening to music while edging. In the start of the thread, I said that I lasted above 30 minutes at my peak, but that was while watching TV. You guys have noticed it before, its way harder to last longer if you're focusing on the sex. Unfortunately, you can't watch TV while have sex or else your partner will kick you in the balls, so you'll have to train the right (and harder) way. It's ok to use distractions in the start if you're have a very hard time, but you must ween off it. Music helps a little to and is actually fine because you can use it during sex, but I just prefer not to use it.
Positions- make sure you're practice a couple of them. Personally, I don't last long when I'm on top, so I've mostly been practicing that. You guys need to realize that success in one position doesn't mean you'll last as long in another. Most guys can last much longer on bottom than on top. Make sure you pick 1 or 2 positions, work on them for a couple weeks or however long you decide, and then work on another. The main ones are obviously top, bottom, doggy style, standing. Do them all. I keep one position for at least 3-4 weeks then change, but do your own method. I'm still not sure what works best here.
My routine right not is not so strict because when I keep it too strict or hard, I get so tired of it and lose motivation. Give yourself some slack and don't try to beat it in 1 month, it won't work. I do 2-3 sessions 4-7 times a week, currently at 6 minutes. I increase the time by 1.5 minutes a week. No matter how much more I think I can last, I STOP AT MY GOAL TIME. I am newly motivated at the start of summer, but I know I'll bring down the sets later when I get bored of it. Not so low that I don't get any benefits anymore, but enough so that I don't totally quit and lose all my gains. You want to have a POSITIVE attitude about edging, not dread it.
So what's stopping you? If you have the privacy to do it, DO IT.
Money shouldn't be stopping you, ~70 dollars is NOTHING compared to your increased confidence, not to mention hours and hours of research that I know you guys do to get rid of PE. Time? Everybody has 20 minutes in their day. 5 minutes to warm up the fleshlight, 10 minute session, 5 minutes to clean up. Some kind of fear to buy a fleshlight? Get over it. Think of how awesome you will be when you can rail a girl for an hour without stopping. The only thing that should potentially be stopping you is privacy issues.
