  • Learning to Edge need help!

    Hey all!


    Im new to edging, just started today really because ive always wondered why i cum within 2 minutes. It annoys me and my girlfriend so i said to her im going to try and conquer it.
    So i have a few questions?
    When it means slow like how slow? Like 5 or so seconds to bring it close to the gland?
    Do i watch porn while doing this?
    I precum quite a bit is this an issue?
    Can i cum at the end of the edging session or should i try and walk away and do something else?
    So once i reach my PONR, i stop and wait for it too 'cooldown' as such then do i go again?

      I recommend going as fast as you'd normally masturbate maybe even faster considering you won't be watching porn if you decide to watch porn while edging I suggest the normal rate of masturbation, keep a completely relaxed pelvis, do full strokes high enough to let your pinky touch the glans each time, masturbating how one normally would (amount of fingers used), keep a medium grip, and use good amounts of oil, choose whichever (olive oil is nice) but do not use lotion.

      When you feel you're getting close make sure you pelvis is completely relaxed and practice deep slow breathing in through your nose out through your mouth or do that the entire time but I find that it can make edging less enjoyable, you're doing this while still stroking slow down if you feel the need too, anyway doing that will cause you to loose the feeling your going to cum quicker than you'd expect and when you loose that feeling keep it going for however long you think is best to ensure you're back to normal (you should try to always keep your pelvis relaxed, it helps alot), when you're deep breathing it helps to throw in a few 10 seconds kegels as well, also for the wait time between PONR stops I suggest only 2-5 minutes less if you think you can go for a decent bit until the next one with that short of a break, experiment you'll figure it out. Yes you can cum at the end.

          Start with as long as you can, about 20 minutes is a goal for many.

          Advanced techniques are discussed in the Edging 101 thread linked in post number two, by utilizing kegels to either push back the ponr and/or achieve multiple dry orgasms, but they require a conditioned pelvic floor and edging experience.

            I suggest doing a forum search for anything more advanced but I think the only more advanced stuff is male multiple orgasm and that's basically just kegels when you're so far into PONR your dick spasms to release cum but you stop it from reaching your dick or something like that with a kegel but you still get an orgasm, you need very strong kegel muscles for this though so start a kegel routine I can message you mine if you'd like it's a beginner one. Also about the whether you can cum or not question, ballooning is another type of edging where you don't cum at the end, some people believe it has benefits of some kind.

                  Do a forum search for edging 101 and then try out what I've suggested after reading it. A kegel is the same as when you force yourself to stop peeing but flexing it or whatever a bit harder (try your hardest), you should see your dick move slightly even more so when erect you hold this "flex" for 5-10 seconds or however long you choose I recommend a 3 second break between each one. A reverse kegel is the flex or whatever you make when your forcing pee/shit out, so to reverse kegel you're basically trying to shit and piss yourself at the same time without needing to do either and for a certain time you choose 5-10 seconds each is a good place to start and for these also a 3 second break between each.

                  If you have read edging 101 it's simple man your trying to edge for 20 minutes, every time you feel your very close to cumming (PONR) you stop for 2-5 minutes and then restart again and again if you have to until your 20 minutes is up, I recommend doing 30 minutes though.                     Alright, i need to find out first how to find my kegel and then work on it is it when you basically tense your penis and it goes up? If it is i can hold it for around 1-2 seconds!

                    Ill go for 30 minutes tonight ill time myself to make sure and then ill cum!

                    EDIT 1: Been doing it for about 2 minutes,i reached the PONR and i stopped and i did a kgel and precum came out i went flaccid after like a minute and then im going to restart after like 2 minutes right?

                    EDIT 2: I carried on after the first edit and realised it wasn't my PONR it was just this amazing sensation it felt great carried on for about another 11 minutes, and it felt great breathing heavily helped alot! I definitely think this will help after i went for like 13-15 minutes i did around 10 Kegels, and like alot of precum was there it felt great!

                      Try doing it without kegeling for now, work that in when you can hold it for at least 10 seconds, and yes you're right about how to do it, just think about how I described it in that post its simple. You most likely went flaccid because of excessive precum but that isn't always the case I sometimes precum a lot (cum without a cock spasm) and I stay rock hard, you will to probably once you get a strong pevlic floor from your kegel routine, but generally precum should be a very small amount. Also to consider it edging you having to be stroking while hard so only start timing when your hard, if you loose your hard on a bit its not big deal though if you cum on accident just try again tomorrow or a few hours later.

                        I think kegels should be done later down the line. For me and alot of people kegels are counter productive to a routine to improve lasting time. Reverse kegels, deep squats and stretches are all good for strengthening, toning and keeping the pelvic floor relaxed. You can work in kegels at a later time.
                        Don't over think the edging just edge for as long as possible without ejaculating. You can go into advanced types later when you've seen some sort of progress.

                          Alright, well im just trying to find out how to do these things for the future. I think i sussed it out so basically when i go for a piss i kind of tense my dick area and i immediately stop pissing is this correct? With an erect penis when i do this my penis comes forward as such.

                          I will edge for like 30 minutes this evening and post results in the morning!

                            Yes, it's the same as when your holding in your piss. But like i said kegel exercises will exhaust that muscle, the same one which makes you ejaculate. So you could finish quicker than normal. For guys with pre e i and many others believe this muscle is already overdeveloped and trained to respond quickly when having sex/ masturbating.
                            So balancing and strengthening their counterparts and relieving tension with squas and stretches could be much better for you.
