Default Hoping this will keep me motivated

Just starting a log to help keep me motivated, focussed, and accountable.

Started on November 1, 2009 with the following routine:

This is based on JonPop's 90 day beginner routine found here.

Warm-up with rice sock 10 minutes.

Stretches:

Pull straight out, down, up, left, and right each holding for 25 kegels. I don't do helicopter shakes, but rather "circular stretches" in between each of these.

Jelquing:

50 wet jelqs
50 V jelqs

Kegels:

I try to 100-150 kegels throughout the day. Most are just 1-2 second holds in rep sets. I will try to hold the last couple for 10 seconds.

Warm down:

10 Mins with rice sock.

Edging:

I've also added edging in at the end of some days if and when I have time.

5 days on, 2 days off.

Measurements as of today November 1, 2009:

NBPEL: 5 inches
BPEL: 5.5 inches
MEG: ~3.8 inches

3 month Goal, or by February 1, 2009

NBPEL: 5.5 inches
BPEL: 6.0 inches
MEG: ~4.5 inches

Thank you to all of the vets for all the time and information on this site. Most of all thanks for the inspiration!

That 's a fair bit of zinc, remember it should balance with copper.

Get to it and don't give up, even if you don't see gains within the first 3 months.

Another great thing that you can do to keep yourself motivated is to keep coming back to the board and having a read. Seeing other people gaining so much is enough to keep any man doing a regular routine.

I'll look forward to hearing of your gains.

You're right. Now that I look at it 50mg is nearly 5 x the RDA for Zinc. I cut back to 10 mg+7.5 mg in a multi-vitamin for 17.5 mg, which should be more than adequate. I will grab some copper as well to prevent copper deficiency.

Thanks, Pegasus.

Thanks for the feedback, all. I definitely will come back and check on everyone else's progress as well. I realize that this is something for the long haul. I definitely can't expect results in the short term.

I did realize one error in my routine. I was only doing 1 set of 50 wet jelqs and 1 set of 50 v jelqs. The routine does call for 3 sets of each. In the end though doing less in the first week probably isn't a bad thing. In fact, my plan is to go to sets of 50 wet and 2 sets of 50 v. If all goes well, I will go to 3 sets in week 3.

Don't know where you got your information, but 50mg of zinc is not too much. The RDA is 60mg of zinc daily.

From the National Institute of Health website:

Dietary Supplement Fact Sheet: Zinc

It indicates an RDA of 11 mg for males over the age of 19. Maybe I'm reading the table wrong?
