I hope you don't think of me as the "anti PE man".

I see it as more of a testament to the amazing properties of the penile tissues, as well as a reminder of what could go wrong with irresponsible practice. Even the worst PE exercise related injuries pale in comparison to what's in that video.

That video wasn't so bad. I don't see why everybody is going crazy. Surgery is a beautiful thing. Hopefully soon I'll get accepted to medical school so I can cut penises.

But that poor man's penis is messed up beyond repair. Even after surgery, failure of the suture line, infection, removal of penile implants AND penis reconstruction? Come on! His dick is done. He'll be lucky to have any sensation in it whatsoever. Those surgeons could have done a better job with the sutures.

Oh yes I remember reading that thread on the first week of when I started to PE. I was freaked out and I swore that I'd never get a phalloplasty augmentation performed on me.

The penis is a sensitive organ just like all other organs. However I don't understand the need to make a specialty in medicine devoted to penises specifically. Urology does include some elements of gynecology but we'll leave that out. Your average board certified plastic surgeon can perform penile surgery if needed, they are trained for that also.

Hey btw I think I saw BTC post a thread here lately? He seemed very happy and he posted pics of his dick. It seemed pretty big.

I have to disagree. The penis is a complex organ and there's so many things that can go wrong in a PE surgery if a doc doesn't know what to do. The potential for nerve damage, disfigurement, scarring, etc. is great and is actually more common than it should be with these kinds of surgeries. Even some experienced urologists don't seem to understand the penis as much as they should.

Using BTC as an example- he was a patient that had an extraordinary amount of PE surgery knowledge as well as the right connections. If anyone knew who to go to and how to handle post-surgical issues, it's him. The fact that he suffered any kind of post-surgical complications says a lot for the surgeon. The last I read, he was in extreme financial distress to the tune of giving up his business and owing several people a lot of money. No amount of increased size is worth the hell that he went through.

Perhaps some day this kind of surgery will become streamlined and you'll see a lot better results. Until then, my personal opinion is that PE surgery should be a last resort and it shouldn't be considered if your penis is at least average in size and functioning correctly. The risks with current phalloplasty procedures aren't worth it.

I agree, the penis is a complex organ and needs to be understood well. But is it worth it for a doctor to go to pre-medical school for 4 years, followed by medical school for 4 years and then 5 year residency to become JUST a penis specialist? I'm not so sure. The term ''doctor'' is a broad word that covers many things, but a urologist is a doctor that specializes in penises. Humans can live without penises, it's not a vital organ. I just don't think it's worth it.

But then again, the penis is a complex and needs a huge amount of understanding. I think a good board certified plastic surgeon can work miracles on penises. Surgery relies almost entirely on the surgeon. If you want a big dick and you have an amazing surgeon, it'll work out nicely if your body responds well. How your body responds has nothing to do with the surgeon.

There are a limited number of surgeries that exist for the penis (excluding testicles and prostate). I'm pretty sure plastic surgeons can handle it. They are bloody well trained in everything, not just facial reconstruction.
