Lets see how many football fans we have out there,

As most I'm sure know that he is going to be plea bargaining and can get anywhere from just a few months to 5 years
depending on how nice the judge wants to be.

I'm just wanting to know everyones input, Do you believe that he should be aloud back in the NFL? How long he should be suspended?
And how serious do you think dog fighting really is?

I believe that it is sad that he is getting made an example out of but i guess they have to start with some one and since the media likes
to keep the eye off the war in Iraq why not start something like this. But I think he will get about 6 months then he will be suspended
from the NFL and be aloud to return to play in the 2010-2011 season. Dog fighting is a horrible so called "sport" but there is a lot more
things we can be worried about.

Well, i think there is more to it than just trying to make an example out of him. Due to his status, he will prob be given a weak sentence. Now if you take a Mr. John Smith off the street that commits the SAME crime, do you think he would get off so easy? Look at Vicks record, with all the stuff he has gotten away with, I'm honestly glad they got something that would stick.

That being said, I think he is a huge waste of god given ability. I myself don't think that any person that goes to jail for anything more than a misameanor should be allowed to play in any kind of professional sport, no matter what their athletic ability is.

My vote is to send him to jail for at least a year, 5 yrs of probation, and give him 1000 hrs of community service working with a dog rescue program. If he can successfully do that, then I would be willing to watch him play again.

PS. Atlanta has the highest dog to household ratios in the country, no one ever claim that Vick was too bright.

I would definitely have to agree that it should be a rule in all professional sports that if they get a more than a misdemeanor then they should be banned. I mean they are role modules for our new generation kids and lots of them take after they're favorite athlete but of course they don't think of that because all they care about is the money.
