Question What part grows?

Whereas I would like to know more and more about the process of penis growth and particularly, which part of the penis grows, i do not want to loose sight of a common sense approach.

If I ask which part of our body grows when we grow taller and thicker in our built what do you think will be the answer? Is it the muscles? bones? Nerves? Blood vessels, ligaments, connective tissue such as muscle sheaths, fascias, collagen, elastic tissue, skin? anything else? Head? neck? legs? arms? nose? eyes? What?

I think you're tackling a good topic that most men lose sight of when they ask: "What part of the penis grows?"

The answer, of course, is everything. For example:
  • If the skin didn't get bigger, then it would rip overtime (ouch....Thankfully, the skin does "grow")
  • If the blood vessels didn't grow, it could possibly take longer for the penis to fill up with blood. But, as many PEers will attest, the blood vessels do enlarge.
  • If the smooth muscle in the penis didn't grow, PE would make it harder to get an erection, as the smooth muscle in the penis is the essential factor that determines the strength of a man's erection (according to Dr. Wespes in this scientific article on penis smooth muscle)

There's no doubt that every part of the penis grows. The big question is: what is the driving force (the ultimate part) that makes everything else grow? In the body, the skeletal muscles are the ultimate driving force that can be changed, molded, and built according to our liking.

You are absolutely correct. you have written a book on PE and naturally you know your stuff.

I just sensed from some of the threads that some may start to loose sight of the overall growth. What is the main driving force as in the case of height is skeletal growth, is of the main interest.

If one takes a pragmatic approach then what is shown to work is good enough and it only remains academic for theoretical explanation for this. I do understand that we have an immense need to know the reasons behind the phenomena and different theories may attempt to cater for this until actual anatomical and histological evidence could be made available, which may not be very easy in living subjects.

I think muscles and blood vessels in case of penis growth seem to be the main players.

Yea, I'm scientific by nature. I love to question and find answers. I think most PEers do.

I've spent many many hours going over research journals with information related to PE. There's lots of theories out there and I'm not necessarily the one to say which is right and which is wrong, but I by far and away believe the smooth muscle is the "driving force." I also think the tunica and ligaments play immense roles as well.

Hopefully over the next 5, 10, and even 20 years, there will be more scientific studies on the effects of PE--and thus more answers.
