Rep Power: 10 | When I clicked on this thread, I was hoping for a Ripley's picture of a 10-foot man. . .
I think the future is a lot of things - and China is one of them. Technology, robots, and space are a few others. |

Rep Power: 7 | My prediction : China and India will not be ahead of America and Europe in terms of technology, invention, creativity, and living standard because both countries have their own problems to tackle. Corruption is their biggest nightmare. Technology: Japan will be ahead of Europe and America when it comes to robotic technology. Nano-technology, robotic technology, Biotechnology will become more popular. Computers will be a lot cheaper. That's just my humble opinion. What do you guys think?

Rep Power: 10 | AvgJoe: I agree with a lot of what you said. Specifically biotechnology becoming more popular.
Computers are already becoming extremely cheap compared to what they were even 5 years ago. Hell, 15 - 20 years ago, color computers cost more than cars.
In terms of the which nation will be on top, it's really hard to say. Perhaps no particular country will. The world is becoming increasingly global, and the Internet has already brought down so many barriers. |

Rep Power: 0 | Well I take the PS2 game "Star Ocean; Till the End of Time" as my bust guess of what the future will be like; but the whole truth is time can only tell

Not saying countries over taking others, but just for the fact that everyone globally is more sociable via internet and other communications then in the past. Many nations are becoming one within the people. A great example would be the United States and Canada. |

Rep Power: 10 | Speaking of everyone being more gloabal: I think in this day in age, it would be really hard to have another World War. |

Rep Power: 0 | I'm not all that sure about that, I can definitely see that in the future but at the current time I can see another World war. There are many different countries out there (China, Korea, Iran, Cuba etc) that like to do things their own way per say. I can for sure seeing a war with one of those countries with the rest of the world just as Iraq (for the most part) did. But when it comes down to it these are the most distant countries, all of their governments is ran by communist leaders that dictate what their people can and can't do, what they think and what they aren't allowed to think. Then you look at other nations not run by this type of government and there you go you have social obedience amongst many countries. The people in those select countries do not have the opportunities that we take for granted, and I do believe in the near future that the rest of the world is going to have to change that.

Rep Power: 10 | Do I think there could be another war? Absolutely. Hell, we're in one right now. But do I think there could be another World War - that is, with several countries fighting several countries? Probably not. |

Probably not. | I'm a little confused, more than 8 countries helped the United States with military support in the Iraq war. (U.S, Britain, Australia, Poland, Denmark, Peshmerga) off the top of my head. Isn't that considered a 'World war' or would you only consider it if there were more of a coalition.
