Default Does David Blaine impress you?

"He's been suspended over a river for 44 days and encased himself in a block of ice for days. Now, David Blaine is attempting a new feat. The magician is spending a week in a water-filled bubble at Lincoln Center in New York. For his finale? He'll try to hold his breath longer than the record of 8 minutes and 58 seconds while trying to escape from 150 pounds of chain on live television Monday night. So, are you impressed yet?" - AOL

What do you guys think?

"That don't impress me much"
Let me just say its the little things in life that put a smile on my face and keep me wondering and on my toes. But living in a bubble and than holding your breath is a little absurd . I know the contradiction to that is well….“Its never been done and I couldn’t do it.” But hey, insane attempts , dare devil stunts and crazy record breaking tricks don’t cut it for me….

Sweety,

I hear you. I was reading the AOL votes on the question: "Does David Blaine Impress you?" The results were about half yes/half no.

Personally, I think it's nothing to jigger over, but it surely is cool, watching a guy live in a bubble for a week. I wouldn't want to do it. What about you guys?

Also, for the grand finale he is holding is breath for 9 minutes. I am not positive on this, but I think after living in a bubble for a week it will make the 9 minute breath holding much easier. Does anyone else have feedback on this?

I think that it'll be his last finale.

I don't think it will be his last. I believe that living in that bubble of his for a week will condition him for holding his breath.

Dust,

You think this is going to kill him? He seems to be a death-defying man. I suppose only time will tell

Sweety seems to be on the other end of the sidewalk -- Long live Daivd Blaine, eh? I'm not sure if he will die, or survive, it's all up in the air to me. But if all goes bad, talk about a way to die....

Question

Well he didn't break any records. He's not in any shape to brag about his atempt to hold his breath longer. He messed up his liver trying.

7 minutes and 8 seconds... Not bad!

AOL has some great pictures of the whole ordeal: http://news.aol.com/entertainment/ar...08100009990001

In one of the pictures it said David Blaine "cut off his left ear to promote the stunt." At first, this guy seemed pretty cool -- but this just makes him seem ignorant!

Overalll I thought it was pretty cool. He impresses me, but I don't think he is a god, and I'm not a fan.

But you gotta admit, some of his stunts are plain stupid -- and funny.
